He got caught up in the Don’t Worry Darling drama for the past month.
But all controversy seemed out of sight, out of mind for Shia LaBeouf when he hit the beach in Santa Monica on Sunday.
The former Even Stevens star, 36, beat the heat by splashing in the ocean in his underwear.
Life is a beach! Shia LaBeouf beat the heat when he hit the beach in Santa Monica on Sunday
Shia was the epitome of relaxation as he emerged from his refreshing dip in the water with his wet hair combed back and dressed in his underwear.
Barefoot he strode onto the dry land, his tattooed body glistening in the sunlight.
Shia was also spotted with all his beach gear as he seemingly left the shore.
The actor shielded himself in a black cap and trudged around an armchair on his back and a towel thrown over his shoulder.

As he walked barefoot down the dirt track, Shia looked rested and relaxed.
Shia didn’t seem to be accompanied by his wife Mia Goth or their six-month-old daughter Isabel.
Mia has been busy promoting her new slasher film Pearl around the world, and last week she and Shia were spotted with their little girl in Toronto after her performance at the Toronto International Film Festival.
While Shia may be in the throes of domestic bliss, his feud with Olivia Wilde over their disputed stories about his departure from Don’t Worry Darling has propelled him into headlines.

Shia was originally cast in the film as Florence Pugh’s on-screen husband, before being replaced by Harry Styles.
After allegations of abuse were leveled against the Honey Boy actor by his former girlfriend FKA twigs, Olivia later claimed she fired him from the production for his behavior on set.
She doubled down on those claims in a recent Vanity Fair profile, explaining, “My responsibility was to her. I am like a mother wolf. Calling was difficult, but in a way he understood. I don’t think it would have been a trial he enjoyed. He comes to work with an intensity that can be combative. It was not the ethos I demand in my productions.’

She added: “I want him to get better and develop because I think it’s a great loss to the film industry if someone with talent can’t work.”
But late last month, Shia denied her claims that she had fired him, instead claiming that he had left the project.
A video later leaked to social media seemed to bolster his claim that he had not been fired.
The clip, which was shot in a car, appeared to show Olivia begging the actor to stick with her film, which Florence referred to as “Miss Flo,” which some fans found humiliating.
Shia went on to explain that he was leaving the film, claiming he was leaving due to what he thought was insufficient rehearsal time, while sharing two emails with Variety that he claimed to have written to Olivia recently.
