Shepparton fire: Family of woman set ablaze over break their silence over horrific scenes
A 20-year-old woman is ‘unrecognizable’ after she was allegedly set on fire by an acquaintance following an argument over a motorized scooter.
Paris Carpio-Woodley was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital about 6.30pm on Monday after being set on fire outside a house in South Shepparton, north of the city.
Daily Mail Australia understands Victoria Police will allege an accelerant was thrown at Ms Carpio-Woodley before her alleged attacker, 33-year-old mother Jordan Spencer, then lit the flame.
Neighbors previously told reporters that Ms Carpio-Woodley’s “entire head” was on fire and that a garden hose had to be used to extinguish the flames.
“(Paris) is unrecognizable,” a source close to the family told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Her siblings have nightmares, it’s not fair.
“We don’t understand how anyone could (allegedly) do this to such a beautiful young lady.”
Ms Carpio-Woodley remained in an induced coma in the intensive care unit at Alfred Hospital on Thursday morning, where she remains in a critical condition.
The woman suspected of attacking her, Spencer, is also fighting for life and under police guard. No charges have been filed.
A neighbor told me earlier Herald Sun that Ms Carpio-Woodley’s head was the ‘only part of the body that (was on fire)’.
Another neighbor staying at a friend’s house nearby said he rushed to see what the commotion was after hearing sirens.
He said he saw someone “lying on the ground” and that emergency services were putting out the fire with a “garden hose” before firefighters arrived on the scene.
A spokesperson for Alfred Hospital told Daily Mail Australia that both women remain critical.
Both Ms Carpio-Woodley and her alleged attacker were taken from Middlesex Crescent (pictured) to Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital in critical conditions.
Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad were sent to the scene to determine what caused the fire.
No charges have been filed.
