Sheffield United supporters left Bramall Lane within the first 25 minutes of Arsenal’s thrilling start to their Premier League match.

The Gunners took the lead against the Blades with four goals thanks to goals from Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and an own goal from Jayden Bogle.

As they did so, large sections of the home fans were captured on camera making their way to the exits of the stadium.

The Gunners took the lead within five minutes when Odegaard finished off a well-executed move convincingly before Martinelli doubled their lead shortly afterwards.

When Jayden Bogle accidentally sent the ball into his own net, some fans decided to call their night short and head for the exits.

And it didn’t take long for social media users to voice their opinions on the Blades’ performance – with some providing some rather cheeky shots.

“Sheffield United are absolutely one of the worst teams the PL has seen for a while,” one fan wrote.

Another said: ‘Sheffield United are the most pointless Premier League team for a while, at least Luton are fighting some of the better teams.’

‘Sheffield United might as well have stayed in the dressing room. They are absolutely woeful, and their left-back should perhaps just consider retiring.

“This could really be double figures if Arsenal want it,” said another user.

In a lengthy post, one fan said: ‘I know Derby once scored 15 points in an entire Premier League campaign, but I refuse to believe there has ever been a worse top-flight team than this Sheffield United team.

‘I genuinely feel sorry for them; they’re so far out of their depth it’s embarrassing.”

Another referenced the fans’ early departure, as they wrote: ‘Fans leaving after 15 minutes must be a new record hahaha’.
