She was once one of Melbourne’s most prominent socialites… now the former Penthouse centerfold is unrecognisable with pink hair and piercings
She was once Melbourne’s most colorful socialite: the third wife of multi-millionaire ex-con businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, who was almost three times her age.
The couple married in a Melbourne registry office in 2015, just hours before her Australian travel visa expired.
After their divorce, she became a call girl at the center of an FBI corruption case that alleged she was paid $1,500 for a mile-long sex binge with NYPD officers.
She was called every name under the sun, with ‘Golddigger’ at the top of the list.
Today, New York-based aspiring rapper Gabi Grecko still has a large online audience.
But if the Miami-born model were to become an eyebrow-raising socialite, a divorcee and then a penniless “widower” onto the streets of Melbourne these days, it’s doubtful anyone from her old life would recognize Edelsten’s ex.

Gabi, 35, looks very much a changed woman in photos shared to her Instagram account on Thursday, as well as in recent weeks.
Previously, the American model sported long wavy locks that were canary blonde, before rocking streaked red and orange hair and then a more subdued ash blonde.
She now has a colorful chest tattoo that traces the outline of her enhanced breasts with a series of stars, and her entire top half appears to be inked.
She has patchwork sleeve tattoos on both arms, as well as tattoos covering both breasts, her chest, sternum, and stomach, in addition to the faded tattoo on the left side of her face.
She also has an eyebrow piercing and freshly filled lips.
The 35-year-old appears to have shaved off her eyebrows, drawing them in with pencil instead.
In new photos uploaded on Thursday, the ex-socialite attached a pink braided wig to her shaved blonde hair as she posed for a series of selfies.
She applied a beauty filter to her face and blurred the background of her surroundings to film herself in sultry poses for her Stories.
Wearing a black singlet and V-neck pants, she accessorized her ensemble with a pink crossover bag and costume jewelry as she sat outside on the sidewalk.

These days, Grecko only seems to model on her Instagram Stories and it is unclear what she does for work.
She still describes herself as a rapper under the stage name ‘Gabi Glitter’ on Instagram, although she has not updated her YouTube channel in five years.
Far from the halycon days of private jets, helicopters and galas with her late ex-husband Edelsten, Grecko now has a short haircut that she alternates with wigs rather than in an expensive salon.
She first met the former doctor on a dating app in 2014.
A week later, she boarded a flight from New York and married the businessman in June 2015.
They married when Grecko was 26 and Edelston was 72, an age difference of 46 years.
However, the marriage was short-lived and the couple separated a few months later.
Grecko was briefly hospitalized for “stress” in July 2014, amid rumors that she had caught Edelsten texting other women.

For the last three years of Edelsten’s life, the estranged couple lived in different countries, with Edelsten living in Australia while Grecko lived in New York City.
In 2017, they had some “frank discussions” about Edelsten’s “abuse” toward her and reconciled, Grecko stated in an affidavit contesting his will, before eventually splitting in 2019.

US-based Grecko, real name Gabriella Rose Curtis, claimed she was still legally married to him when he died.
“I always considered myself married to Geoffrey,” she said, explaining that she received divorce papers electronically in September 2019 to two email accounts she hadn’t used in years.
At the height of his success, Edelsten owned the Sydney Swans AFL football club, traveled in helicopters and led an extravagant lifestyle.
However, his last will and testament revealed the dire financial circumstances the notorious womanizer found himself in before his death.
Edelsten died in June 2021 at the age of 78, leaving behind an estate worth just over $1 million.
He gave his only child, his son Matthew Beard, $50,000 and left his ex-wives Brynne Edelsten and Gabi Grecko (aka Gabriella Curtis) not a single cent.
Both contested the will, but were unsuccessful.
Grecko’s decision to contest her ex-husband’s came as a surprise, as she told A Current Affair in July 2021 that she would not be filing a claim because Edelsten was broke.
‘It’s a lot like comedy when people like to talk about inheriting money. I’m like, no. It’s more like I’m inheriting millions of dollars in debt,” she said.
“I was still married to him when he died, and I am his widow. And if necessary, I will produce documents, but I don’t want anything, and I have made that clear.’
The founder of the Allied Medical Group died a virtual pauper, despite his desperate efforts to project an image of extreme wealth in his final years.
