She is a major, internationally known pop star with dozens of hit singles to her name.

The handsome man has toured, done lounge acts, performed in Las Vegas and continues to make new music.

She has also worked in Hollywood films. One saw her with Adam Driver, another with Bradley Cooper.

And years ago she played a role in Ryan Murphy’s hit TV series, American Horror Story.

She has a big superhero movie coming out this year that fans are eagerly awaiting.

However, in a recent post on Instagram, she looked completely unrecognizable with her dark hair.

Who is she?

She is Lady Gaga.

In the photo, she has stringy dark brown hair that falls past her shoulders and she has bleached blonde eyebrows.

The 38-year-old woman stands on a lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, where she now lives.

She also wore a blue and white floral print dress over a black bra.

And Gaga added a crystal bib necklace.

Her lips were beautifully made up with a peach-colored lipstick.

Lady Gaga is a shapeshifter who always looks different.

The siren last wore a big blonde curly wig for a song with Bruno Mars called Die With A Smile.

Her next film is a huge success.

Gaga changed her singing voice for Joker: Folie A Deux because she wanted her character’s performance to stand out from her own records and concerts.

The singer/actress plays Lee, a version of Harley Quinn, in the DC Comics film, opposite Joaquin Phoenix, who reprises the role of the mentally ill Arthur Fleck, also known as The Joker.

Quinn, played by Gaga, is a character who works as a music therapist at Arkham Asylum. He meets Arthur, becomes fascinated by him, and eventually becomes obsessed with the incarcerated criminal.

The pop star deliberately adapted her performance in the film so that the audience could clearly understand that she was “playing a character.”

In an interview with Empire magazine, she said, “People know me by my stage name, Lady Gaga, right? That’s me as that artist, but that’s not what this movie is; I’m playing a character. So I worked hard on the way I sang to come from Lee and not from me as an artist.”

The ‘Poker Face’ filmmaker added that she added “a lot of negative comments” to ensure that audiences wouldn’t just see Lady Gaga when they saw Lee in the film.

She explained: ‘For me, there are actually enough bad notes, from Lee. I’m a trained singer, right? So even my breathing was different when I sang as Lee.

“When I breathe on stage to sing, I’m doing it in a very controlled way to make sure I’m singing on pitch and keeping the rhythm and time. But Lee would never know how to do all that.

“It’s like I’m taking the technical side of it all out, taking my perceived art form out of it, and completely invading her life.”

It’s not just her singing voice that’s different: Director Todd Phillips revealed that Gaga made the role her own by adapting aspects of the villain’s comic book characteristics, and compared her version of Harley Quinn to a member of the Manson Family.

Cult leader Charles Manson, who died in November 2017 at the age of 83, radicalized the members of his Manson Family, many of whom were middle-class American girls involved in the hippie movement. He ordered them to commit a series of murders and crimes in the late 1960s and 1970s, including ending the life of actress Sharon Tate.

Phillips, 53, said: ‘Although there are some things that people recognise in her, it’s really Gaga’s own interpretation, and Scott [Silver, co-writer] and my interpretation.

“She became the way Manson had girls who idolized him. The way sometimes these [imprisoned murderers] have people who look up to them.

“There are elements of Harley in the film that come from the comics, but we took them and adapted them to our liking.”
