Shaun Ryder reveals he’s shed two bricks since filming I’m A Celeb South Africa by using the controversial weight-loss injection Ozempic – claiming stars who use it for vanity ‘need professional help’

Shaun Ryder revealed that he has lost two stone since leaving I’m A Celebrity… South African by using Ozempic, but claims those using it for the sake of vanity “need professional help.”

The Happy Mondays star, 60, became the first to leave camp on Friday alongside Gillian McKeith.

Shaun, who first appeared on the show in 2010, has now revealed the reason behind his new look since it was filmed last summer.

He admitted to taking the controversial weight-loss pill Ozempic, a drug used for type 2 diabetes.

In an exclusive interview with The sunhe said, “My thyroid is sluggish, so it doesn’t matter if you only eat lettuce, you’ll still be fat, but since I did the jungle I’ve lost a ton of weight.”

Hollywood drug? The Kardashian sisters, including Kim and Khloe, are suspected of using Ozempic – something Khloe denies

“I think I was 16 Stone and now I’m only 14 because of those jabs you put in your stomach they say the Kardashians do? Ozempic. I’ve been on them and I’ve lost two stones.’

Shaun, who has an underactive thyroid and alopecia, has taken the appetite suppressant jab for obesity.

By injecting it into his stomach, Shaun has been able to resume his favorite hobby, cycling.

However, he added that others relying on it should seek “professional help.”

The drug has become a trend in Hollywood for weight loss — and has been criticized by some for fear it could fuel eating disorders

Ozempic and rival jab Wegovy have exploded in popularity after being the first drugs proven to help with weight loss.

Those who have admitted to using it include Chelsea Handler and Elon Musk, who lost 30 pounds on the drug.

Meanwhile, some suspect the Kardashian sisters — like Kim and Khloe — have been using it, too.

Khloe has denied doing this, but Kim has never commented on the suspicions.

Shaun added: “Ultimately it’s up to them, but there are probably a lot of physical issues there. I think most Kardashians need professional help.

‘For me it’s great; It actually gives me a bit of energy, so now we’re going to cycle again.’

Original Appearance: Shaun appeared in the 2010 series I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here

Shaun and Gillian McKeith are the first stars to leave camp on Friday.

Shaun, Phil Tufnell, and Andy Whyment left the Savannah Scrub and headed to Main Camp, where they discovered they would be participating in the series’ first survival trial.

Each chose a different celebrity to do it with them, and the losing pair would leave camp for good – with Shaun choosing former nemesis Gillian.

In the process, the couples were handcuffed together and made to retrieve keys and wrenches from three boxes – filled with creepy critters – in an attempt to free themselves.

However, Gillian refused to put her in the first box because she was afraid of the snakes inside, leading her and Shaun to be the first to leave camp, with fans chanting that the nutritionist “didn’t even try” to win the task.

Phil, along with Georgia Toffolo, got off to a flying start, they were followed closely by Andy and Jordan Banjo.

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment at Shaun’s departure, after he was previously tipped to be crowned king of the jungle.

While others labeled Gillian “annoying” and said she acted and feigned fear on camera.

One wrote, “Poor Shaun. Glad Gillian is gone. Irritating Woman” and “Beautiful obvs Gillian didn’t even try, framed poor Shaun”
