Sharon Stone’s son Laird, 18, towers over the actress, 65, as they enjoy rare outing together in Beverly Hills

Sharon Stone enjoyed a rare outing with one of her three adopted sons in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday afternoon.

Stone, 65, and her middle child Laird, 18, were photographed running errands together in Beverly Hills.

Laird towered over the six-foot-tall actress as they sauntered down the sidewalk toward their parked vehicle.

Stone looked youthful in a stylish outfit that included white sweatpants and a black blazer.

She rocked a navy blue printed T-shirt and held a bright yellow purse in the crook of her arm.

Stone had a huge smile on her face while interacting with Laird – who she adopted in May 2005.

With COVID-19 on the rise again in LA, Laird opted to wear a face mask while interacting with the public.

The teen wore a red T-shirt, blue camo pants and white high-top Converse sneakers for his outing with mom.

At one point, Stone was photographed holding some papers in one of her hands while grabbing her car keys with the other as her son dragged behind her.

Later, the duo appeared to be stopping for lunch when Laird was seen carrying a takeout box.

She and Laird have adopted sons, Roan, 23, and Quinn, 16.

Stone adopted her oldest Roan with ex-husband Phil Bronstein, now 70, in 2000 after years of struggling to conceive.

She had had nine miscarriages due to an autoimmune disease that made it very difficult for her to carry a full term pregnancy.

After her life-changing stroke in 2001 and the end of her six-year marriage in 2004, the couple entered into a bitter custody battle, which Stone lost.

Bronstein was given primary custody and Stone was visited by her son every month.

She recently claimed that her iconic role in the movie Basic Instinct (1992) hurt her chances of getting custody of Roan.

“I lost custody of my child. When the judge asked my child, my little, little boy, “Do you know your mother makes sex movies?” Stone recalled iHeart’s table for two with Bruce Bozzi podcast in March.

She said it was “kind of abuse by the system”, noting that her racy role in the film made them question whether she was a fit parent.

“It was looked at what kind of parent I was, because I made that movie,” Stone claimed.

After her divorce was finalized, Sharon adopted her second son Laird in 2005 and third son Quinn in 2006.

Stone recalled PEOPLE how she had been “trying to adopt a second child for years” but kept encountering difficulties.

“So I didn’t quite believe it, all the way until he was in my arms,” she said of Laird.

Stone has praised herself for being a “healthy and present parent” to her three boys and has done her best to keep them largely out of the limelight – despite being an A-list star.

Laird has made a handful of red carpet appearances over the years — most notably a joint appearance with brother Quinn at a ceremony honoring their mother in 2017.

At that year’s Associates For Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies Mother’s Day Luncheon, Stone received the Mother of the Year Award.

And her two boys went on stage to pay her respects.

“My mom deserves this award. I love you mom,” Laird said onstage, while Quinn called Stone a “loving, caring and wonderful person.”

Stone gushed that she’s a “happy mom” and that she’s “grateful my kids chose me.”

In December, she shared a rare photo of the trio on Instagram from Christmas when they were just kids.

That same month, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Stone had “adopted” her son Roan’s boyfriend after his father’s death.

“This happened about a year ago and she’s kept it pretty quiet. The child is inseparable from her son Roan and they all now live together as a family, in her big house,” a source close to the family claimed.

“It’s a really great thing to do and it says everything about her. She had a pretty rough childhood and she wanted to start a family – like she would want a family to be,” they added.

She calls the new family member her “adopted son,” though it remains unclear whether it was an official adoption or an informal arrangement.

In her own words, Stone revealed that she “took in” her son’s boyfriend, who had been taking care of his single father as he battled Parkinson’s disease to the end, though she didn’t say he was “adopted” at the time . ‘

Suddenly he was alone. . . and I took him in. So now I have four boys,” she shared at the time.
