Sharon Stone posts sweet throwback photo of her three eldest children at Christmas… after it was revealed she had ‘adopted’ a fourth child

Sharon Stone was feeling nostalgic on Thursday when she shared an adorable photo of her three children with her 3.5 million Instagram followers.

The 64-year-old Oscar nominee showed off her sons Roan, Laird and Quinn – now 22, 17 and 16 respectively – as they smiled for the camera as they enjoyed their Christmas presents years ago.

The sweet display comes just days after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Stone had recently “adopted” a fourth child.

In her photo, the three children were sitting on trikes arranged around the Christmas tree, which had a healthy layer of presents underneath.

‘#TBT Who remembers Hot Wheels Christmas?’ Sharon captioned the post from her.

The Casino star adopted all three of her children over the years, after an unspecified autoimmune disorder and endometriosis made it difficult for her to carry a pregnancy.

She revealed in June this year that she had suffered nine miscarriages over the years while trying to have children. Sharon made the admission while she was showing her support for Dancing With the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd, who revealed at the time that she had suffered three miscarriages.

Sharon and her then-husband Phil Bronstein adopted their eldest son, Roan, in 2000, after she had already suffered multiple miscarriages.

Stone and Bronstein separated in 2003, and the subsequent custody battle initially resulted in Roan living with his father, while his mother had visitation rights.

She then adopted Laird in 2005 and Quinn, who is Laird’s brother, in 2006, and all three children eventually went to live with her.

However, DailyMail.com revealed earlier this month that Sharon had welcomed a fourth member of her family.

Sharon took in a friend of her eldest son, Roan, after his father’s death.

‘This happened about a year ago and she has kept it pretty quiet. The girl is inseparable from her son Roan and now they all live together as a family, in her big house,” a source close to the family said.

β€œIt’s a really amazing thing to do and it says it all about her. She had quite a difficult childhood and she wanted to create a family, the way she would like a family to be,” she added.

Growing family: DailyMail.com revealed exclusively this month that Stone had “adopted” a fourth child, the “best friend” of her eldest son, Roan. She took him in after her single father died.

Sticking Together: It's unclear, however, if Sharon officially adopted Roan's friend or if she's just living with the family.

The arrangement seems to be ideal for her eldest son, as the newest member of the family is her ‘best friend’, while Sharon loves having a ‘big family’ inside her huge mansion.

However, the source noted that while Sharon refers to the new family member as her “adopted son,” it is unclear whether she has formally taken over the paperwork to adopt him or whether it is an informal arrangement.

The actress revealed that she had ‘fostered’ her son’s friend, who had cared for his single father as he battled Parkinson’s disease to the very end, although she did not say at the time that he had been ‘adopted’.

‘He was suddenly alone. . . and I accepted it. So now I have four kids,” she shared.
