Sharon Stone, 66, breaks down in TEARS during very emotional moment as she names the people she would risk her life for: ‘They get me and I get them’
Sharon Stone broke down in tears as she spoke about the people she admires so much she would risk her life to join them in a new interview shared Friday.
The iconic blonde beauty said she was overjoyed when she started working with peacemakers she had always looked up to.
The 66-year-old star’s goal was to help others with her celebrity and it worked. She has also won a Nobel Peace Prize: In 2013, Stone received the Peace Summit Award for her work on behalf of people living with HIV/AIDS.
In a new interview with Alex Salmond for Turkish Tea TalkSharon became emotional as she said she loved the people she met in her role as a global humanitarian.
The goddess of the silver screen broke down in tears as she talked about spending time with peacemakers she admired, such as Betty Helena Williams, a Welsh politician.
‘These people are so brave… suddenly I felt like I was in the right fucking room, these are my people, I would be on the street with these people, I would risk my life with these people, they get me and I’ll take them,” the star said through her tears.
“It took 35 years, but I’m in the right room,” she said of working with her heroes.

It’s been almost 35 years since her first taste of fame when she made her first major film, Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger, in 1990.
Basic Instinct was released in 1992.
“I never told people here in LA that I was even going to get a Nobel Prize… I thought, how can I tell people in the movie business that I won a Nobel Prize?” she cried over the 2013 win.
Stone also touched on mental health and how many people need help in her wide-ranging interview.
“We are all trying to confront our demons, including me,” she said, noting that one in 10 people are suffering, which was highlighted by the COVID-19 lockdown when so many had to spend time alone.
The Sliver star said empathy is very important and cited Nelson Mandela as an example.
A large part of the interview was about her new career as a top painter.
She spends 17 hours a day painting in her Los Angeles mansion, and her work is taken seriously. Her first painting sold for $30,000.
When Alex asked why she paints, Sharon said, “I was really thinking about this the other day… I was thinking about how rarely women can be what they want to be,” she said.
“I loved to paint growing up,” said the Pennsylvania-raised author of Beauty Of Living Twice.
“When I was at university, I was 15, I was in further education and I got a writing scholarship, and I loved writing and painting, and I didn’t want to go home for the summer holidays. and in the summer I studied painting, I loved watercolor.’

Stone also shared that no matter how many characters she’s played, people want to remember her as the sexy killer Catherine Tramell from Basic Instinct, and that can be a challenge.

As for working in Hollywood again, she said the role should be “really good.” And she could visit Scotland in the future, she told host Salmond; he said he would help her learn a clear Scottish accent.
