Sharon Osbourne defends Kanye West over ‘white lives matter’ and wants her ‘money back’ from BLM

Just weeks after assuring fans that she is “not racist” during an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Sharon Osbourne is accused of doing so.

British television personality faints for seemingly defending Kanye West’s ‘white lives matter’ drama by telling TMZ on Wednesday: ‘I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter?’

Sharon, 69, also seemed to support Ye’s claim that the Black Lives Matter movement was a “scam.” Her comments come as the star emerges from her own public cancellation over a racism scandal on The Talk.

Speaking: Sharon Osbourne catches herself in nonsense for seemingly defending Kanye West’s ‘white lives matter’ drama by telling TMZ on Wednesday, ‘I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter?’

Osbourne was approached by TMZ this week while shopping in Beverly Hills, asking if the Kanye West mess took over the news this week.

Ye is once again embroiled in controversy for wearing a white lives matter shirt to his Yeezy fashion show in Paris (and putting his models in the tops, too). He also scolded the Black Lives Matter movement, calling it a scam.

Reminiscent of the time in 2018 when slavery was called a choice, the mogul’s attitude has led to feuds with everyone from Gigi Hadid to the Kardashians to a prominent Vogue editor.

‘I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter? I don’t understand,” Sharon told TMZ when asked about Kanye. “Everyone matters, doesn’t it?”

While Osbourne didn’t know the ins and outs of the current scandal, but knew enough to stand out when asked about West’s claim that BLM was a scam.

“We gave $900,000 on that and I want my money back,” Sharon joked in response, adding that she wished she’d talked to Kanye before making the donation.

Sharon – who is staunchly against cancellation – unsurprisingly added that she doesn’t think Kanye should be canceled because of his statements.

Osbourne herself is in the midst of bypassing her own cancellation over accusations of racism.

She was asked about West’s claim that BLM was a scam: ‘We gave $900,000 dollars to that and I want my money back’

‘I have learned a lot from it’ [getting canceled] but you are who you are. I’m not racist…never said anything racist,” Sharon told DailyMail.com exclusively in September. ‘People are awake, it’s a whole different world out there. People behave differently now.’

As a refresher, Sharon’s fall from favor was accelerated by a heated argument with The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood about comments Piers Morgan had made about Meghan Markle.

At the time, in March 2021, Morgan was accused of being racist for his harsh public criticism of the Duchess.

Sharon went ahead and defended Piers, a close friend, on an episode of her talk show, and her defense didn’t sit well with Sheryl Underwood — nor with the public and CBS executives.

‘I have learned a lot from it’ [getting canceled] but you are who you are. I’m not a racist…never said anything racist,” Sharon told DailyMail.com in September. ‘People are awake, it’s a whole different world out there. People behave differently now.’

“There are three things I never want to talk about: religion, politics and minority groups because you can never win,” she told DailyMail.com at the time. “There will be 50 percent who agree with you and 50 percent who think you are an asshole.”

She added that the 50 percent who disagree will become “judge, jury and executioner.”

Sharon may have taken her own advice before speaking out about Kanye West’s latest drama, as it has put her back in the middle of the hot-button cancellation conversation.

As for Ye, his feuds seem to be heating up over his white lives matter publicity stunt.

On Thursday, West lashed out at Gigi Hadid in another impassioned diatribe when he called her a “privileged Karen” and a “zombie.”

Problems: Ye is once again embroiled in controversy, because he wore a white lives matter shirt to his Yeezy fashion show in Paris (and also put his models in the top). He also scolded the Black Lives Matter movement, calling it a scam.

The rapper, 45, and the supermodel, 25, have been engaged in a battle of words this week after defending Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson’s defense, who West was accused of “bullying” online.

In the latest exchange, West lashed out when he shared a screenshot of a comment made by Gigi on Instagram claiming the rapper didn’t treat “V” like a friend.

While no further context was given, it appeared that she referred the late designer Virgil Abloh after West was criticized for referencing the designer in his tirades.

Gigi wrote: ‘Finally… Thank you! Even people who knew him a percentage of the time knew that kanye didn’t treat V like a friend ++ V LOVED GKJ…. He’s watching. [sic]’

In response, Kanye shared in capital letters: “I won’t be run over by Hollywood again. Gigi you a privileged Karen.

“You were born with a silver spoon in your mouth. You are a zombie. You speak here, but did not speak when my child was abducted on her birthday. [sic]’

West has repeatedly claimed that his estranged wife Kim Kardashian “kidnapped” their daughter Chicago when she threw the youngster a secret birthday party in January this year and refused to tell him where it was.

Kardashian – who along with the rapper North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four and Psalm, three along with the rapper – has denied this claim.

West later shared an image of text that read, “Nobody says anything to me in private that they wouldn’t say in public. I am not your personal hard drive [sic]’, with the caption: ‘Jesus is king.’

MailOnline has reached out to Hadid’s representatives for comment.
