Sharon Osbourne breaks social media silence after being hospitalised for a ‘medical emergency’

Sharon Osbourne has spoken on video for the first time since she was hospitalized for a “medical emergency”.

The 70-year-old television personality took to Instagram on Monday to share a video message announcing his return to his TalkTV show The Talk on Tuesday night.

She confirmed that she would be appearing on her chat show screens again after she was hospitalized after falling ill while filming Night of Terror on December 16.

Sharon wished her viewers a “healthy and happy holiday season” and sent her love as she seemed to be in a good mood in the video.

She said: ‘Hello everyone on The Talk and everyone who watches The Talk. I just want you to know that I will be back on January 3rd.

‘I’ve missed them so, so, and I know I keep saying I’ll be back, but this time it’s for real!

“I just want to say to everyone have the best, healthy, happy holidays and a Happy New Year. I love you all.’

In the clip, Sharon cut a casual figure in a blue plaid jacket with an embroidered collar and styled her locks in her signature rouge bob.

She accentuated her features with a smoky eye makeup palette while standing in a luxurious living room in her video message.

Sharon’s return to UK’s The Talk comes after she was hospitalized for a “medical emergency” last month after falling ill while filming the Night of Terror TV show with her son Jack.

Jack, 37, later posted a statement on his Instagram confirming that his mother was on the mend.

‘OK, here’s what I’ll say: First things first, MY MOTHER WASN’T FILMING AN EPISODE OF @ghostadventures. She was filming a new episode of Night of Terror with me. Hahaha.’

‘Now that we’ve made that clear… His medical team had given him the go-ahead and he’s now home.

‘Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support. As for what happened to my mother, I’ll let her share when she’s ready.

The next day, December 20, Sharon shared her first statement since she was hospitalized on December 16.

Ozzy Osbourne’s wife said he was “back home and doing great” under a festive photo of their dog posing in front of a Christmas tree.

He also sent a message to his fans writing, ‘thanks for all the ❤️’.

was informed by TMZ that Sharon had been busy filming a paranormal television show in California near the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula when she suddenly fell ill.

Medics were called to the tavern around 6:30 p.m. on a “medical call,” a representative for the Ventura County Department reportedly told the publication.

They later transported a patient to the Santa Paula Hospital. Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirmed to TMZ that Sharon was the patient.

Sharon had never spoken about any major health issues before.

She was last photographed on Dec. 6 reuniting with her son Jack, fiancee Aree Gearhart, and daughter Maple in Los Angeles, where she looked good.

In May 2022, Sharon revealed that she caught covid from her husband Ozzy after she was forced to fly back to Los Angeles to care for him.

She broke down in tears after confirming that she would be flying back to the United States from London to help her husband, the 73-year-old singer.

Speaking on her TalkTV show The Talk from LA, Sharon told co-star Jeremy Kyle that Ozzy was fine, but she and her daughter Kelly were unfortunately stricken with the virus.

She said: ‘He is much better, thank you. His temperature is now back to normal, his coughing has stopped, he is much better.

But I have some news to share. My daughter Kelly has it, I have it, and the whole family has it now.

Sharon was previously said to be “besides herself with worry” after Ozzy contracted Covid-19.

Sharon was claimed to have been worried about Ozzy when he became ‘paranoid’ about contracting Covid after suffering from a series of health problems in recent years.

The former Black Sabbath star, who has Parkinson’s disease, was said to have been cleaning takeaway deliveries with antibacterial spray in a bid to avoid contracting covid.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Ozzy was very paranoid about contracting Covid because of everything he’s been through. He now he has it, he is terrified and he feels terrible.

“He heard about the spread of Covid on surfaces and became so paranoid that he had every takeout delivery that came to the house sprayed with antibacterial treatments.”
