Sharon Osbourne, 70, reveals she lost 2st on controversial weight loss drug

TalkTV presenter Sharon Osbourne has spoken out about the dangers of using controversial weight-loss pills.

The plastic surgery fan has said that even though she lost more than two pounds in weight over a four-year period, she was sick every day and insisted it wasn’t a “quick fix.”

During a discussion about the controversial injections on The Talk, Sharon, 70, shared her first-hand experience with the drugs after it was announced yesterday that WeGovy’s UK launch had been paused.

Fellow panelist Daisy McAndrew explained that losing weight isn’t as simple as getting more exercise and changing your diet, saying, “It doesn’t work that way for a lot of people’s metabolisms.”

Sharon replied, “It doesn’t. It’s a mental problem. It really is, apart from, you know, when kids grow up in a household where they live off chips and pie.

‘But I took it. I took it for four months and I lost 30 pounds, but as with anything, there’s always no quick fix.

“I was very ill for a few months. For the first few months I just felt sick. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever.

“But listen, I took it for four months, I lost 30 pounds.” I just popped two chips in my mouth while we were on break, and I’m eating normally now, and I haven’t put on a pound. Nothing.’

Sharon has flown to the UK for TalkTV’s Coronation coverage and will host a Coronation Watchalong with Vanessa Feltz on TalkTV on Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

The TV personality was happy to go under the knife in the past, but now says the results of the most recent procedure have “scared” her.

She said The sun: ‘That [face life] put me off and it terrifies me, I really fucking pushed it with the last facelift and I’m like, no more’.

“Time is against me, I can’t get another facelift.”

She told before The Sunday times: ‘I’m telling you, it was terrible. [To the surgeon] I’m like, “You’re kidding. One eye was different than the other. I looked like a fucking Cyclops. I’m like, “All I need is a hunchback,”‘

‘It hurt terribly. You have no idea,” she added of the cosmetic procedure, which took five and a half hours.

“He said, ‘I don’t care how much it costs, we’ll have it done again,'” said Sharon – who shares children Aimee, 39, Kelly, 38, and Jack, 37, with Ozzy.

Osbourne has always been open about the procedures she’s had over the years and talked about getting a facelift in 2019.

She discussed the procedure in an October 2019 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“I had this thing where they lifted my mouth and then I couldn’t feel my mouth for the first week, I can barely feel my mouth now, to be honest,” she said.

‘I couldn’t find my mouth. It was numb and it was up on one side and I looked like Elvis. All the kids and Ozzy say, “Why are you growling at me?” And I’m like, “I’m not growling; I’m not doing anything!”‘

In January 2020, husband Ozzy, who is also known as the ‘Prince of Darkness’, revealed in an emotional interview with Sharon that he has Parkinson’s.

The then 71-year-old sat down with Good morning America only to reveal that he could no longer hide his health problems and that he is on a “whole pack” of drugs to treat his nerve pain.

It started, he said, when he fell in 2019 and had to have surgery. He then began experiencing nerve pain and doctors have struggled to determine whether the fall, the surgery or his condition are the cause of his condition.

He insisted he was “far from” his deathbed – as had been misreported – and said he wanted to “confess” his condition for the sake of his fans.

“It was a huge challenge for us,” he said of the past year. “I had to have surgery on my neck, which hurt all my nerves. I’ve found out I have a mild case of…” he said before looking at his wife to finish his sentence.

Sharon added: ‘It’s Parkin 2, a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.’

Michael J. Fox is another celebrity who also suffers from the condition, which targets the central nervous system and can affect mobility.

In June 2022, Ozzy underwent spinal surgery and Sharon gave an update to fans shortly after.

“Our family would like to say a big thank you for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means everything to him,” concluded the TV personality.

Later that same year, the Crazy Train singer jumped onstage to perform at an NFL performance in September 2022.
