Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary issues urgent warning to Kamala Harris ahead of the election: ‘Huge mistake’

Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary has warned Democrats that they may have made a “huge mistake” by giving the nomination to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Speaking to Fox News’ Rachel Campos-Duffy on Saturday, O’Leary argued that Democrats may be getting ahead of themselves.

The financial guru said there’s a good chance they now have a second version of Hillary Clinton on their hands, after they “assumed [Kamala] would win’.

He told the news agency: ‘It’s 50-50, she can win, she can lose. This whole party, the Democratic Party, is going to look back on what happened here, because they did the same thing to Hillary Clinton.

“She was supposed to win, they anointed her, she lost. Harris is considered the winner by reconciliation.”

He continued: ‘If they lose, the party will never do this to themselves again because they missed the opportunity to file a lawsuit and get another week of airtime – and they didn’t.’

O’Leary then referenced California Governor Gavin Newsom, who ridiculed the process by which Harris was nominated.

During his speech on Pod Save America, Newsom was asked about the “switch” from Biden to Harris. He sarcastically repeated points Democrats have made about it.

He said, “We’ve had a very open process, a very inclusive process,” changing his tone, much to the delight of the hosts.

Newsom continued: “It was bottom-up, I don’t know if you know that. That’s what I was told to say.”

O’Leary said Newsom’s joke was one of the few points he and the governor agreed on.

He continued: ‘I’m not saying she’s going to lose, but if I were to sell a company, I would never let that happen.

“I tell my managers, never give me one offer, give me a process, show me there’s no other offer I want, then I’ll make a decision or I’ll sell. I was surprised they didn’t do that here.”

Harris received the support of several prominent Democrats after Biden announced his shock decision to withdraw from the election.

Other candidates had been put forward by members of the party, including Newsom and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Despite this, none of the presumed candidates other than Harris managed to gain any real traction, and Biden’s support for her prompted others within the party to follow suit.

On Thursday night, Harris officially accepted the Democratic presidential nomination after a week of whipping up party loyalists in Chicago.
