Shark Tank Australia: First look at the new season as the show returns after five years with a fashion CEO, tech guru and software mogul as the new ‘sharks’

Channel 10 released a trailer for the Shark Tank Australia reboot on Monday.

The video introduces the five brand new business stars to impress contestants, including a marketing guru, an online fashion queen and an AI tycoon.

In the show, aspiring Aussie entrepreneurs present a product or service to a group of investors known as ‘Sharks’, for capital in exchange for a share in their company.

The ‘Sharks’ cast for the new series includes Sabri Suby, founder of digital marketing agency King Kong, Dr. Catriona Wallace, author and expert on Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse.

Also in the tank is Davie Fogarty, celebrity millionaire, founder of online retailer the Davie Group, and inventor of the world-famous wearable blanket, The Oodie.

Rounding out the cast are online boutique fashion queen Jane Lu of Showpo and Robert Herjavec, a Canadian software mogul who rose to fame over 14 seasons with the American version of the franchise.

TV presenter Sarah Harris also returns as the programme’s narrator.

The teaser comes after Channel 10 announced earlier this year that they were looking for contestants for the reboot, after the show last aired in 2018.

“Shark Tank brings together five corporate superstars, ready to put their own money on the line and turn the next big idea into a profitable venture,” began the official press release for the rebooted fan favorite.

“If you are a budding entrepreneur with a great business idea and you want to seize the opportunity to change your life, the casting is now open,” it continues.

“It could be the most important pitch of your life.”
