Shaquille O’Neal leaves TNT colleagues in stitches with Ozempic joke
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal didn’t hesitate when the opportunity arose to tell TNT colleague Charles Barkley a hysterical joke about weight-loss drug Ozempic on “Inside the NBA.”
O’Neal, who sat on the far right side of the panel Tuesday night, made the joke during a break in the action before the Lakers-Suns game.
Along with colleagues Ernie Johnson, Jalen Rose and Barkley, O’Neal and crew got lost in the non-basketball talk after the former Magic and Lakers star brought up Phoenix’s Bol Bol.
“Did you tell Alonzo Mourning you don’t drink milk?” Rose said to O’Neal.
‘Skim milk!’ O’Neal responded.
“You already covered the big cut,” Barkley interjected.

The colleagues of ‘Inside the NBA’ have always taken the opportunity to make fun of each other
In the ongoing comedic war of words between O’Neal and Barkley, TNT listeners knew this comment would not go unanswered.
“Ozempic is still looking for your ass,” O’Neal replied to Barkley. “Ozempic, I’m snitching, he’s here. Ozempic FBI, he’s here.’
Rose was on the panel, filling in for Kenny Smith, who had the day off.
After O’Neal made another prank impersonating Fire Marshall Bill from the television show “In Living Color,” Johnson turned to Rose.
“Jalen, welcome to my world,” Johnson said.
Barkley has admitted that he has used Mounjaro in the past, another weight-loss drug that helps treat type 2 diabetes.
Despite TNT’s broadcast of NBA games ending after this season, “Inside the NBA” is moving to ESPN, with the show’s core of stars all expected to remain intact.
