Bucs star Shaq Barrett and his wife Jordana are expecting a baby girl, they announced the news two months after their two-year-old daughter Aaryah drowned in a swimming pool.
Jordana said on Twitter that they are expecting a daughter in February next year who they will name Allanah.
She wrote, “A few weeks after our Sweet Girls Heaven Day, Shaquil and I found out we were pregnant!
“I just know Arrayah had a special hand in choosing this sweet girl to add to our family! We are so exceedingly blessed, so thankful that God chose to give us another little girl!
“We miss our Arrayah every second of every day, but I rest in the knowledge that she will be the best angel big sister to little Mrs. Allanah!

“Arrayah has given me hope. She has has changed so many lives in the short 2 years she blessed this earth, and God works in such mysterious ways, but I will never doubt His plans for my life.
“Through the worst of the worst, he turns around and uses ALL things for good. I will trust when it is most difficult, and praise him in all good things.
“His plans are much better than mine and always will be. Serve a God who cares, a God who gives, a God who takes away, a God who comforts, and a God who loves us unwaveringly when we don’t deserve it. Thank you Jesus!’
Aaryah’s death was described by police as “a purely accidental and tragic incident.” Arrayah was the youngest of four children Baltimore native Barrett has with his wife Jordanna.
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family at this incredibly difficult time,” the Buccaneers said in a statement at the time.
“While no words can offer true comfort at a time like this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very deep loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
He and his wife met in high school and were married in February 2012.
They have three surviving children: sons Shaquil Jr. and Braylon, and daughter Aaliyah.
The two-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion agreed to a four-year, $72 million contract with the Buccaneers in March 2021.
Barrett suffered a season-ending injury in October, suffering a torn left Achilles tendon during the Buccaneers’ Week 8 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
His teammate Tom Brady led the tributes to the Barrett family when news of his daughter’s death first emerged.
“The Bradys love you,” the legendary quarterback wrote alongside a photo of the Barrett family on his Instagram story.
