Shannon Noll doesn’t look like this anymore! Aussie singer has fans doing a double take at 2024 TikTok Awards in Sydney

Shannon Noll almost escaped fans’ notice as he stepped out for the 2024 TikTok Awards in Sydney on Wednesday.

The inaugural Australian Idol runner-up, 49, looked almost unrecognizable on the event’s ‘pink carpet’, displaying a distinct air of sartorial elegance.

The Learn To Fly hitmaker is usually at home wearing jeans and a T-shirt, possibly accenting the outfit with a ‘flanno’ or worn trucker cap.

But Shannon decided to go all out as he teamed up with the likes of Jojo Siwa, Robert Irwin and Anna Paul at the glittering event.

The Masked Singer star looked very dapper in a statement shirt with a red collar that he wore untucked under a black tuxedo jacket.

The jacket had a single-colored paisley pattern and a thin black lapel.

He paired his boho-cool jacket with skin-tight black jeans and a pair of pointy boots made from what appeared to be crocodile skin.

Shannon had silver bling around his neck that was visible thanks to an unbuttoned shirt.

He completed the stylish ensemble with a smart black fedora with a turquoise feather for a pop of color.

The rocker couldn’t hide his innate larrakin and gave the photographers a hearty thumbs up while smiling broadly.

The singer recently revealed the moment he decided to transform his lifestyle and physical appearance.

The Lift hitmaker told Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie in April that he started hitting the gym after realizing he was getting ‘fat-skinny’.

“I’ve been back in the gym for over 18 months now,” he said.

Host Ryan Fitzgerald asked: Was there a catalyst for that Shannon? Was there a moment where you thought, “You know what, I’m not happy with the way I’m living my life and I need to change”?’

‘Yes, I started to become fat-skinny, because I am already naturally skinny, I have skinny legs. If I don’t train and drink, you look like ET,” Shannon said.

“You’re getting the beer belly,” Fitzy replied.

Shannon agreed, adding, “Yes that’s right…I couldn’t have that so I thought I needed to get back to the gym. I train very hard and try to watch what I eat while training.’

Shannon’s admission came after he and Cosima De Vito addressed rumors that they were involved in a feud following their appearance on Australian Idol.

The singers rose to fame during the talent show’s very first series in 2003, reaching the final three alongside Guy Sebastian, who was eventually crowned the winner.

Cosima came third after being forced to leave the competition due to throat lumps that threatened to damage her voice, leaving fans devastated.

At the time, viewers speculated whether Cosima received more votes than Shannon despite leaving due to her health, sparking wild rumors of a rift between them.

However, more than two decades later, the pair have firmly denied there was ever any bad blood between them as they reunited for a duet on Shannon’s new album, That’s What I’m Talking About.

Shannon admitted he felt “bad” for Cosima following her “rough” and sudden departure from Australian Idol, but insisted they have always been friends despite the drama.

Of the criticism Shannon received for making the finals after her departure, Cosima admitted Women’s Day: ‘I felt really bad for Shannon, I felt really guilty.

“We never talked about it, and we were always friends, and it was clear that we wanted the best for each other. There were never any hard feelings in any way.”

The pair reunited on Shannon’s new album – the 20th anniversary reissue of his 2004 debut, That’s What I’m Talking About – after secretly recording a new version of Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean’s country hit Don’t You Wanna Stay.

Shannon said of the new song, “I thought what better way to mend the bridges for her than to get her on a single and back on the radio. She was tickled to be a part of it and she blew her vocals out of the water. .’

Cosima again described singing with Shannon as ‘special’ as she admitted 20 years have passed since Australian Idol dropped when they reunited.

Shannon parlayed his early fame on Australian Idol into a successful recording and touring career, releasing six studio albums.

He has also enjoyed ten ARIA to-ten singles, including chart-toppers What About Me, Learn To Fly and Shine.
