Shannon Noll asks fans to donate money to GoFundMe campaign to support 10-year-old boy who lost drums in bushfires – but doesn’t appear to have donated anything herself
Shannon Noll has urged his fans to donate to a GoFundMe page to help a 10-year-old boy from rural NSW buy a new drum kit after losing his old drum kit in a bushfire.
The singer, 47, shared the campaign link on his Instagram on Tuesday, revealing that young Jesse lost his drum kit in the 2019 bushfires in Rappville, 700km north of Sydney.
Nollsie shared an old photo of young Jesse playing his drums and captioned it with some heartfelt words.
“Hey guys, this is Jesse who lost his drum kit in the Rappville fires a few years ago! Let’s bypass him and get him playing again,” Shannon wrote.
At the time of writing, only one person had donated to the campaign to date, contributing $5 toward the $2,750 goal.

Noll appears not to have made a donation through the GoFundMe page.
Pointing out the apparent passivity, one fan commented on Noll’s post: “Did you donate @nollsie or did you just ask for donations?”
Daily Mail Australia contacted Shannon for comment.
Shannon and his family live on a 100 acre estate near Casino, in the Northern Rivers area of NSW.

Last year, the reality TV favorite said moving to the big city cost him work.
He explained that living in Sydney meant fewer gigs, not more – and that he would have to move back to the countryside with his wife and children.
“I was 500 meters in Sydney last year and lost about 20 performances there,” he said The Daily Telegraph.

“People from Tasmania flew over me to replace me on gigs in Queensland, so it was really tough,” he continued.
“So we took the plunge to live in the city and got some land back.”
