Shannon Beador shows shock snap of her bloodied face after DUI accident in harrowing Real Housewives of Orange County promo
Shannon Beador shared a shocking photo of her bloodied face after her drunk driving accident last September in a promo for the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 premiere on Thursday.
Beador, 60, was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program after the incident, which saw her crash into an Orange County home.
The troubled reality star was sentenced to 36 months of informal probation, plus fines and fees. She must also complete 40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program.
In an emotional new promo, Beador spoke to her co-star Heather Dubrow, 55, about the lead-up to the incident, claiming she was called a “drunk idiot” by her ex-boyfriend John Janssen, who she had recently been with.
Beador said, “I got in the car, I lost control,” before showing Dubrow a photo of her bloodied and bruised face from the crash. Blood streamed down Beador’s face and neck in the terrifying image.

Dubrow said, ‘Oh, Shannon! Oh my God!’
Beador also discusses her current alcohol consumption, telling Emily Simpson that she “has two drinks max at the moment” and that she doesn’t drink “that often.”
But when Tamra Judge asks Dubrow if she thinks Beador has an “alcohol problem,” Dubrow replies, “Yeah, I think so.”
The stars are seen at a group dinner, where Beador reveals she thinks about her drink driving every morning. Judge responds: “Is that after you’ve had a drink?”
Beador responds, “I’m done with people saying I’m the drunk who needs help, because I’m not. I had a really bad night. I want to leave right now, because I’m ruining my makeup, so I gotta leave,”
Beador has described her drunken driving as a “terrible mistake” when addressing her arrest at BravoCon 2023, held at Caesars Forum in November.
“It’s been a tough six weeks, but I will tell you I made a terrible, terrible mistake and I am incredibly grateful that it didn’t hurt anyone,” Beador told the audience, per Variety.
Shannon also said she completed “28 days of behavioral wellness therapy” with an alcohol specialist, adding that she has been able to “focus on elements of my life that are unhealthy and toxic. I am moving in a good and positive direction.”

In November 2023, the Bravo star herself failed to appear in court. Instead, she had her attorney appear to enter her no contest plea to one count of driving under the influence and one count of driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.
The judge dismissed the charge of hit-and-run after a collision with property damage.
A source close to Shannon said: “It’s safe to say she is relieved and grateful that she won’t be going to jail. This experience has taught her so much and shown her the way to a better life. She is sober and doing very well.”
Legal documents originally obtained by TMZ revealed that Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer tried to convince the judge to give him a 30-day jail sentence.
Beador was arrested in September after crashing her car into a home in Newport Beach.
Surveillance footage shows Beador driving at high speed through a residential area before crashing her car into the side of a house.
In legal documents, District Attorney Spitzer wrote that Beador had a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent before the crash — three times the legal limit.
Beador escaped the crash with a broken left wrist and cuts and bruises to her left eye.
Beador responds, “I’m done with people saying I’m the drunk who needs help, because I’m not. I had a really bad night. I want to leave now, because I’m ruining my makeup, so I gotta leave.”
She has since been reimbursed for the damage to the house she hit.
After her arrest in September, Beador’s lawyer Michael Fell told DailyMail.com: “Shannon is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We await official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
After the sentencing, Fell said, “Shannon entered a no contest/nolo contendere plea this morning to DUI and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office argued that Shannon should be sentenced to prison and convicted of DUI and hit-and-run.
“But after hearing legal arguments from both sides, the judge denied the plaintiff’s request and dismissed the collision. In this ruling, the judge acknowledged that Shannon had made full restitution to the homeowner in this case, who did not want to be prosecuted, and admitted her wrongdoing early in the proceedings.
“As we initially reported, Shannon took full responsibility for her actions and accepted the judge’s sentence: 40 hours of community service, nine months of alcohol education, and the standard three years of unsupervised/informal probation.”
Beador himself said, “I am thankful that no one else was injured in this incident other than me. I have learned so much from my terrible mistake that night and realize that it is too far to drive any distance under the influence.”
Following the accident, Beador told her fans and followers that she is “focused on getting healthy, getting back to herself and walking Archie (her dog).”
It’s been a tough year for Beador, whose boyfriend John Janssen surprised her by splitting in November 2022 after nearly four years of dating.

John broke things off with Shannon shortly after filming wrapped on Season 17 of RHOC, but she didn’t go public with their split until January.
Shannon made her relationship with John official on Instagram in July 2019, after ending her tumultuous marriage to David Beador.
The reality star has daughter Sophie, 21, and twin daughters Stella and Adeline, 19, with her ex-husband David.
Shannon faced other legal troubles after her ex John sued her for $75,000, an amount he allegedly loaned her to pay for a facelift. He claims she never paid it back.
