Shannen Doherty’s publicist claims star’s husband Kurt Iswarienko’s agent was ‘intimately’ involved

Shannen Doherty’s publicist Leslie Sloane released a statement claiming her husband’s agent Kurt Iswarienko was “intimately involved” in their decision to divorce. Page six revealed.

“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wants,” Leslie said.

Last week, 52-year-old Shannen officially filed for divorce from her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, after 11 years of marriage, according to documents obtained by TMZ on Friday.

The 90210 Beverly Hills actress who recently celebrated her birthday earlier last week on April 12, quoted in the papers that both she and the photographer have been divorced since January of this year.

She went into remission in 2017.

The former couple initially said “yes” in 2011 and did not welcome any children during their relationship.

Her marriage to Kurt was her third, having previously tied the knot with Ashley Hamilton and then Rick Salomon.

Doherty, who recently reunited with her Charmed co-stars last March, has been battling breast cancer since it returned in 2020 as a stage four.

Sloane also told TMZ that the outlet was able to contact Kurt’s agent, “Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID,” because she was “closely involved,” hinting that she may have had some involvement in the divorce.

Separate sources close to Shannen and Kurt explained to the outlet that the actress is “not doing well” regarding her health, adding that far from being amicable, their divorce is instead acrimonious and “very bitter.” .

Also in the documents obtained by TMZ, Doherty asked for spousal support, but requested that it not be awarded to the photographer.

Prior to her marriage to Kurt, the star had tied the knot with Ashley Hamilton in 1993 until their divorce was finalized the following year in 1994. She later said ‘yes’ to Rick Salomon in 2002, but their wedding was canceled nine months later in 2003.

In February 2020, it was revealed that the actress had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer after going into remission from the disease in 2017.

During an earlier interview with People in 2019, the Little House On The Prairie star shared how her cancer battle had made their relationship stronger.

“Cancer has solidified us,” Shannen gushed to the publication at the time. “Kurt and I have a lot more appreciation for each other now.”

In 2015, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy, as well as undergoing both chemotherapy and radiation, which led her to remission by 2017. But by 2020, the cancer had returned.

She went on to explain, “It’s not that our marriage wasn’t good before. But we definitely went through some growing pains,” adding, “We’d lock things down, and instead of fixing it, we wouldn’t speak for a few days.”

The actress then stated that “we didn’t let a night go mad at each other at the time,” revealing, “The last time we had a big fight was pre-cancer.”

Shannen said cancer affects not only the “person with cancer,” but also “the people in your life.” And it has shaped us both. We look at life very differently now.’

The star responded to her now-estranged husband’s support at the time, saying, “I don’t have to be a sexy little fox. How Kurt sees me really helps me become a better person. He was always like, ‘I’ve never seen anyone handle something so difficult with such grace. You are so strong.’

The BH90210 actress gushed, “Kurt and I now look at each other with such deep respect. He was my rock in every way, and he made sure I knew how much he loved and appreciated me.”

“We have a much deeper appreciation [for each other] now, and a much greater capacity for forgiveness.”

Later in 2021, while promoting her movie List Of A Lifetime, Shannen explained People that her cancellation battle is “part of life right now” and refers to her now-estranged husband.

“My husband says you would never know I have cancer. I never actually complain. I don’t really talk about it. It’s part of life now.’

The former couple officially tied the knot in a romantic sunset ceremony in Malibu in October 2011.

Shortly before news of her divorce broke, Doherty celebrated her 52nd birthday earlier last week on April 12.

Her good friend and fellow actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar, paid a special tribute to the star on her main Instagram page and uploaded an assortment of snaps of the two together.

“It’s your birthday @theshando so in your honor here’s a slideshow of some of the more ridiculous stunts (swipe right) Any suggestions for new ones?” the Cruel Intentions star wrote in the caption.
