Shanna Moakler talks ‘competing’ with ‘narcissist’ ex Travis Barker over parenting – and reveals why she didn’t get him and Kourtney Kardashian a baby gift for their son Rocky

Shanna Moakler opened up about her ex Travis Barker and his new wife Kourtney Kardashian welcoming a baby together last November.

The 49-year-old former model resigned during the performance on Friday Jeff Lewis Live from SiriusXM — but later hinted at past issues regarding their own parenting experience.

“I’m happy for him, he’s in a good place,” the blonde bombshell began, before adding that her daughter Alabama, 18, and son Landon, 20, who she shares with Travis, were enjoying their time with their new little brother. Rocky.

“The kids love baby Rocky, my daughter is obsessed with him, she sends me cute pictures and stuff,” Shanna added.

When asked if she congratulated Travis after Rocky arrived, Shanna replied, “Yes, I did.”

However, she admitted that she did not send a baby gift to the couple. Despite this, Shanna said the exes are currently “getting along.”

“He’s doing great, they’re all great, but I don’t know anything about their world,” she said of Travis and Kourtney.

Shanna then said that she and Travis had a “competition” over who was the better parent to their children: Travis is also a stepfather to Shanna’s 24-year-old daughter Atiana with Oscar De La Hoya.

“But I gave up, I never really tried to compete. I gave that up a long time ago,” she explained. “I was like, ‘You win. Like you’re the winner.'”

“I think it really comes from the fact that you’re dealing with a narcissist or a controlling personality,” she added.

She acknowledged that Barker is a “very powerful famous person,” which made it difficult to “compete at that level.”

The podcast appearance echoed Shanna’s previous comments about Travis’ parenting.

In January, the model accused her ex of wooing their children with expensive gifts and experiences she can’t afford.

She also accused him of having a “drinking problem” and being an addict Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast.

She angrily said, “He did me pretty dirty. His drinking is a problem. His womanizing, his addiction.’

She accused Travis of “parental alienation” when he got together with Kourtney.

She moaned, “You’re disgusting. I removed myself so they couldn’t bond with my children because they hated me.

“Go do what you need to do and when you’re ready, I’ll love you here unconditionally,” she said.

“And I’ll be here as your mother, and I’ll wait. And that’s what I did.

“There are people who don’t like that family, don’t watch their show and don’t care about it [damn] what kim [Kardashian] does to her [butt].’

Shanna, who was married to Travis from 2004 to 2008, claims that Travis uses his wealth to impress his children and show that he is the better parent.

She continued, “When Travis got together with Kourtney, there was parental alienation, where – even when we weren’t together – Travis always wanted to be the ‘super dad.’

”I am the best parent. I’m this and that,’ and I’m like, brother, you win. You are the winner here. You have all the money and you have all this. You are the winner.’

And she believes her children got “caught up” in the “glitz and fame” of the famous family she can never compete with.

She continued, “I think there was a lot of glitz and notoriety and they watched it on TV and now their dad is in a relationship and they’ll be on the show. And I think they got caught up in that, which is what young kids would do.

“They buy them Prada, and they buy them gifts, and they go to events and meet Kanye and, you know, all these big things.

‘I can’t give them that. I do not have that. I don’t have access to that. I don’t have the money to do that. I can’t buy you Prada every other week and stuff. Not me. I can not do it.’

She added, “My house is not a mansion like Travis.” I don’t have a cinema. I don’t have any golf carts for you kids to ride in.”

Kourtney also shares three children – Mason, Penelope and Reign – with ex Scott Disick.
