Shania Twain shared several photos on her Instagram account on Friday from her trip to the Forbes 30/50 International Women’s Day Summit, which was held in Abu Dhabi.
The 58-year-old artist wrote a short message in the caption of her post, writing that she “connected with some of the most incredible and inspiring women” during the event.
The hitmaker – who was recently honored with her very own Barbie doll – also wrote that after meeting “so many interesting people” at the summit, she spent a “girls night in the desert” with her friends.
In her first photo, Twain was seen posing in front of an installation set up for the event.
The songwriter then shared a video of herself giving a pep talk to several schoolchildren, encouraging them to “forget the word ‘doubt.’

The Grammy Award-winning singer continued, “I would use the word ‘conscientious.’ You’re just conscientious. You’re just being your best professional self.”
Twain also included a clip of her clapping along as she watched a group of schoolchildren perform for the summit participants.
The artist’s latest clip showed her singing her hit Man! from 1999 sang. I feel like a woman! with a group of participants at the top.
The songwriter opened up about writing the song during an interview that took place at the summit, revealing that she was inspired by her past struggles with her image.
She stated via MSNBC: ‘I’m a very self-confident person in many ways. It’s a work in progress. And this is why I wrote the song: Man! I feel like a woman!, because I was always very self-conscious about my body.’
Twain also recalled having particularly traumatic experiences during puberty and spoke of wearing oversized clothes “for a long, long time” as a coping mechanism.
The hitmaker then stated that she wrote the song as a way to express and promote self-love.
‘I said – exclaimed – that I am happy in my own skin. And this is my shape… So I really took responsibility to finally be a woman,” she said.

She added: ‘I really took responsibility for finally being a woman and by then I was 33!’
Twain further stated that over the years she had learned to appreciate her own talents, telling the summit participants, “Self-doubt is no longer in my vocabulary.”
The artist concluded by stating that she had also used the songwriting process to move forward from her past hardships.
‘I have found my own therapy. And that was my imagination and my creative pursuit,” she said.
