Shania Twain Aims for No. 1 on ARIA Albums Chart

Shania Twain is looking for the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, while The Kid Laroi is looking for the No. 1 single.

Shania Twain is projected to top the ARIA Albums Chart this weekend for the fourth time with her latest record Queen of Me.

Three of his previous albums reached the No. 1 position in Australia, beginning with 1997’s Come On Over, Up! in 2002 and now in 2017.

The 57-year-old Canadian country singer released her sixth album on Friday, and it has already received a warm reception from critics.

The From This Moment On hitmaker appeared live on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday to promote her new album.

Shania was joined by radio host Kyle Sandilands as they discussed their shared experience of being homeless in their youth.

“First we went to some kind of battered women’s crisis center until they can place you in a battered women’s home,” Shania said.

Kyle said he felt like Shania was a soul mate as he delved into his own troubled past.

“It can be quite a traumatic situation and many women and children are in that situation to this day and I always feel for those people and I feel like more needs to be done around the world,” she said.

Meanwhile, on the ARIA Singles Chart, The Kid Laroi is hoping to crack the Top 10 with his new song Love Again, which debuted at number 14 last week.
