Shania Twain, 58, goes blonde as she talks Sin City show, admits she gets ‘less inhibited’ as she ages, and applauds ‘dedicated’ Taylor Swift

Shania Twain has been working in show business for almost 40 years, but the singer has never looked as good as she does now.

The beauty, 58, sizzled on the cover of Haute Living, which DailyMail.com got its first look at on Wednesday. The man! I Feel Like A Woman singer showed her sultry side by wearing her hair in a pink shade.

And the chart-topper also showed off her long, toned legs in a leotard with sky-high heels.

The music industry icon talked about her third Las Vegas residency, which kicks off May 10 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

It’s the 25th anniversary of her best-selling album Come On Over.

“I’m working on making the most of my life,” she told the publication. ‘I become less and less inhibited as I get older. I like to do crazy things.’ And the look will be completely new: ‘The visuals will be fresh; there’s nothing really nostalgic about it,” she noted. “There will be a modern aesthetic in contrast to the music.”

She also said in her interview that she is a fan of Taylor Swift: ‘That girl works her butt off. She leads an exhausting life, but she has dedicated herself to herself, to her art and to her work.”

The star added: ‘I’m definitely going to focus on fashion for the upcoming shows. It will be a different wardrobe than anyone has ever seen, but it’s also a very different show than anything I’ve done before.

“It’s going to be more athletic and dynamic when it comes to the talent on stage. It will feel more energetic than ever.”

And she won’t hesitate to make adjustments here and there.

“I’m going to work on this until the very end,” she admitted.

“There are some things that will only be curtailed in the last few weeks. I’m going to be very practical and adjust things until the end. So even if I were to give away something concrete now, I would be getting ahead of myself, because it is not quite there yet.’

Twain also discussed her changing hair – in recent years it has been blonde, red and pink.

“It’s funny, the reason I even experimented with it [the pink] it was because I was going gray. And now I’m thinking that if I’m completely gray, maybe at that point I should dye my hair and rock pink,” she said.

‘That’s how I feel when I wear that color. It makes me feel youthful. I don’t need to look younger to my eyes – that’s not my goal – but I like to feel refreshed, and so does the pink hair. It is awesome.’

And she’s ready to roar.

“I would say I like being fearless; nothing really scares me,” the cover girl said.

“I don’t worry about wearing hair color and not pulling it out. I don’t worry about the reaction… not even in my own mirror.

‘There’s nothing wrong with experimenting. You just have to have fun – and being playful makes me feel more youthful.”

There is a lighter attitude.

‘Now I dance around the house. In private I walk around naked. I don’t think I’d ever done that before, but it felt so natural to forget about the clothes. Now I think, “Oh my god, I really missed something. This is really liberating.”

She also said she didn’t think Come On Over would ever be a hit.

‘For [Come on Over]I already felt like I had accomplished everything most artists can ever achieve. My previous album, The Woman in Me, had surpassed diamond status. I remember thinking, this probably won’t happen again, lightning doesn’t strike twice, and that I would just have fun with whatever came next. So that’s what I did. You can hear it in the album: I experimented more, I pushed my boundaries, but I was more relaxed about it.

“I'm working on making the most of my life,” she told the publication. 'I become less and less inhibited as I get older. I like to do crazy things

‘And so Come on Over became a party album; it was cheerful, it was playful, it was more adventurous. When you let your guard down, you release a lot of inhibition, and there is freedom in that.

“But I can appreciate the courage I had back then because Come on Over was in many ways ahead of its time for women in the country music genre. It ended up being a crossover and it took me into other genres. Moreover, I became more confident that I could be as original as I wanted to be.’

She also talked about her icon status.

‘I didn’t set out to be a pioneer or anything; I never realized it would be like this,” she admitted.

‘I just tried to be original, my authentic self, and do it with conviction. I am an expressive person and I have incorporated that into my music. I said it with attitude and with confidence, because I meant it. Yes, I consider it a great compliment when someone calls me a pioneer, but that is not my intention. I was just being myself, and I think that helped me a lot.”

$1 from every Vegas ticket purchased will be donated to Shania Kids Can, a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 that provides services that promote positive change in children’s lives during times of crisis and economic hardship.
