Shane Warne's children are amazed after discovering their late father's huge collection of golf clubs while searching through his belongings.

Warne made no secret of his love for a round of golf throughout his colorful life, with the cricket legend famously hitting a hole-in-one on the 16th hole at Augusta.

But son Jackson has revealed how he and his two siblings, Brooke and Summer, were stunned by the sheer amount of golf clothing his dad owned.

“We're currently searching some of his storage units because he only has storage units full of stuff. He just collected and collected and collected,” Jackon told Channel 7 on Boxing Day.

“And some of the things we're dealing with right now are golf clubs. And I'm not kidding, he probably has 300 drivers, 400 putters, 50 million golf bags – there's just an abundance of stuff.”

Jackson and his two sisters launched the Shane Warne Legacy initiative on Boxing Day, urging Aussies to get their hearts tested on one of 23 machines located outside the MCG.

The number 23 was chosen specifically to pay tribute to Warne, with the spinner wearing the number in white ball cricket.

Warne died last year at the age of 52 of a sudden heart attack in Thailand.

“We have exactly 23 machines spread across the entire site,” Jackson said.

'Even if you don't have a ticket for the match, you can also get such a test outside the ground. So even if you only watch this at home, you can take your test outside the MCG.

“Dad would be so honored and so happy that his legacy is now saving lives.”

Warne's former teammate Ricky Ponting himself suffered a heart attack while on commentary duty in Perth last year and said he would take a test.

“My little buddy Justin Langer and I are heading out to do our own test. It was just over 12 months ago that I had to leave the commentary box in Perth,” Ponting said.

Jackson responded, “When a lot of people think they need to get their heart tested, they think it means taking off your clothes or taking a little blood. But this is a non-invasive test.

“It's done in less than four minutes, you just grab this handlebar and put the compression sleeve on your arm. You get all these metrics and it pretty much shows you what you need to change or what you need to add to your lifestyle.”

Reflecting on his father's legacy, Jackson ended with, “Boys know how much Dad loved big and shiny things.

“If he knew he had the biggest booth at the MCG and in the Southern Hemisphere, I think he would laugh.”
