Jackson Warne has revealed a personal triumph on Instagram after committing to an entire year without alcohol following the death of his father, cricket star Shane Warne.
In an inspiring display of resilience, the 24-year-old chose to honor his father's memory not with sadness, but with a commitment to health and clarity.
On Monday, Jackson shared the goal he set for himself at the beginning of 2023: staying alcohol-free for the entire year.
He wanted to demonstrate a healthier way to deal with life's hardships, especially after experiencing the immense loss of his beloved father.
'I wanted to show people that when something traumatic happens in your life, instead of going LEFT to alcohol which I thought was a band-aid, you can go RIGHT to health and fitness because it will help you do everything with a clearer mind to process,” he wrote.

After his father tragically died of a heart attack in Thailand last year, Jackson said he could have let his grief ruin him.
But instead he decided to focus on his health and channel his trauma into “energy for life.”
On Instagram in February 2023, he wrote: “This year could have easily gone downhill for me. I could have drank a lot of alcohol, gambled too much, left the gym, eaten bad food and not socialized. Be miserable.
“But I didn't.”

The former reality star also revealed that he would hit the gym regularly
'I didn't, because I used this trauma as energy for life. I surrounded myself with good people, went to the gym EVERY DAY, drank water, swam, laughed a lot and was consistent. 1 day at a time.'
The 24-year-old said he has never felt happier and healthier, and encouraged his nearly 100,000 followers to do the same.
“Health is wealth,” he added.
“It costs $0 to exercise, laugh, drink water and go outside. If you do this, I promise you will be as happy and healthy as possible.”
