Shane Warne’s ex-wife Simone Callahan says she still mourns legendary cricketer’s death: ‘It’s something that can’t be fixed’

Simone Callahan revealed on Thursday that she is still mourning the “huge void” left by her ex-husband Shane Warne when he tragically passed away last year at the age of 52.

The 53-year-old yoga and wellness guru lost the father of her three children to a heart attack on March 4, 2022 while the legendary cricketer was on holiday in Thailand.

Talking to the House of Welfare magazine, she confessed that she still struggles with her ex-partner’s absence.

“Nothing stays the same when we lose a loved one, as so many people would tell you. My children lost their father and I lost my children’s father,” she said.

It’s a hard feeling to put into words, but it’s always there with you. It’s something you think will never happen and it’s something that can’t be fixed.”

The yoga and wellness guru lost the father of her three children to a heart attack on March 4, 2022 while the legendary cricketer was on vacation in Thailand. Speaking to House of Wellness magazine, she confessed that she is still struggling to cope with his absence.

She continued, “There’s a heaviness to it, just the whole process of living without Shane in it. But what the kids and I shared with him, we’ll always have.”

Shane and Simone tied the knot in 1999 and were married for six years before divorcing in 2005.

They shared three children: Brooke, 26, Jackson, 24, and Summer, 22.

Shane died of a heart attack on March 4 while vacationing in Koh Samui, Thailand.

Thai police said he was staying at the villa with four friends, and when one of the group tried to wake Shane for food around 5pm local time, he was found unresponsive.

Shane’s manager separately confirmed his death and said the father-of-three could not be revived.

He is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers in history having claimed 708 Test wickets at 25.41 in 145 matches between 1992 and 2007.
