Music legend Shane MacGowan delighted fans by joining TikTok this week, where his first video has amassed a whopping 840,000 views.
The Pogues singer, 64, spoke directly to the camera during the short clip, welcoming fans to his new page and offering his best wishes.
The Fairytale of New York singer also describes a “Musician, Lover, Irishman” in the account’s bio.

He said in the 17-second clip, “Welcome to Shane MacGowan on TikTok, hope you enjoy it. God bless you, Shane.”
Shane sported a bushy beard and wore a black top that he paired with a large silver crucifix necklace.
Shane, confined to a wheelchair after breaking his pelvis in 2015, looked cheerful as he sat in a green armchair.
He then shared snippets from his award-winning career and snippets from his appearances on Top Of The Pops.

He has a well-documented history of drinking and drugs and his famous teeth were fixed in 2015 after losing the last one in 2009.
Fans rushed to the comments sections to see that the singer looked in such good shape.
With one text: “Legend,” while another added “God bless you Shane, thank you for the memories and the great music.”
A third commented, “The incredible writer and poet that is Shane MacGowan, welcome to TikTok!”

It comes after Shane and wife Victoria Mary Clarke shared throwback snaps from their wedding day on Instagram earlier this month to mark their fourth anniversary.
Designer Victoria shared a photo of them both with their wedding cakes, writing, “Today is our fourth wedding anniversary! We both forgot!!!’

Victoria, 56, had worn a long red dress by Bella Freud for the wedding in Copenhagen, while Shane looked good in a suit.
Shane also shared a gallery of images from their special day – attended by Johnny Depp – along with a sweet message.

The couple have been together for 36 years and were engaged for 11 years before they tied the knot.
Depp, Shane’s boyfriend of more than 20 years, played guitar for the couple during the low-key ceremony, which was held at Copenhagen City Hall.
Sean started drinking when he was five years old, when his family gave him Guinness to help him sleep, and his father often took him to the local pub drinking with his friends.
His wife Victoria announced in 2016 that he was sober for “the first time in years,” explaining how his drinking problem stemmed from years of “singing in bars and clubs where people go to drink and have a good time.”
She claimed that his spiral into alcohol addiction was caused by the introduction of hard drugs, such as heroin.
