Shamed reality star is set to make a dramatic TV comeback on new cooking show
The embarrassed reality star is making a dramatic return to television in a new cooking show, four years after being fired for abusing cocaine.
Former Geordie Shore star Scotty T is making an unexpected return to British television screens, four years after he was fired from the long-running reality show for abusing cocaine.
The 34-year-old will kick off his career comeback with an appearance in a new E4 series Celeb Cooking School, in which a Michelin-starred chef will open his kitchen doors to a bevy of hopelessly famous chefs.
said a source Sun: ‘Scotty enrolled in the Celeb Cooking School alongside James Argent. It’s a great return for him and hopefully it will jumpstart his television career.”
The move marks a change in fortunes for the TV personality, who made a fleeting return to Geordie Shore in 2022 despite being sacked for reported drug abuse three years earlier.
“Scotty made a brief appearance on Geordie Shore last year, but this is her first full series on a show in four years,” the source added. He can’t wait to get started and is eager to show a different side of himself that he may not have seen before.
It looks familiar: Former Geordie Shore star Scotty T is making his return to British TV screens, four years after he was fired from the long-running reality show for abusing cocaine.
Old times: Newcastle-based Scotty was a fixture and extremely popular on MTV’s Geordie Shore, appearing in 88 episodes over a seven-year period (L-R: Marty McKenna, Nathan Henry, Gary Beadle, Aaron Chalmers and Scotty T.)
“Scotty is a popular person and E4 could see her potential. They believe Scotty is a great addition to the Celeb Cooking School and will bring something really special to the table.’
The latest series of Celeb Cooking School saw the likes of Kerry Katona, Sam Thompson, Toby Aromoralan, and Kim Woodburn try to improve their woeful cooking skills with the help of chef Giorgio Locatelli.
Newcastle-based Scotty was a permanent and extremely popular fixture on the MTV show Geordie Shore, appearing in 88 episodes over a seven-year period before the producers were forced to fire him after his drug use led to class A was exposed in 2019.
The TV personality, whose real name is Scott Timlin, later admitted that when he first found fame on the show in 2012, he was pumped full of alcohol and drugs late at night.
Scotty said that after receiving help from a rehabilitation center in Scotland, he spiraled back into the aftermath of the deaths of his stepfather and three close friends.

Speaking in 2019, he told The Sun: ‘While the show was on the air, I made personal appearances in clubs every night and started taking cocaine to cope.
“I used to be completely anti-drug, anti-smoking, and I despise all of that. But I fell into that lifestyle.
Scotty, who has ADHD, said he couldn’t use caffeine as a way to keep his energy levels up because it affected his anxiety, so he took cocaine to cope.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner was also affected by the loss of Love Island’s Sophie Gradon and her boyfriend, who took his own life after her death.
He said: ‘I was very close to both of them and that was really difficult. I was breaking up with my girlfriend, I was home alone and I was like “why is everyone around us dying?”.
“I hit such a low point of depression, but I managed to snap out of it.”
Scotty eventually checked into a center in Thailand where they helped him fight his demons for two and a half months and ‘retrained his mind’.
