Shower sex has a reputation for looking easier in movies. However, in real life it can be a bit more awkward.
But a sex expert has now revealed tricks to securing the steamiest shower sex, while ensuring you don’t slip and break a bone.
First, not enough people take intimacy into account when sharing a shower, according to dating coach Myisha Battle.
She says couples should be aware that bathing together “can provoke a level of intimacy.”
Sex expert and dating coach Myisha Battle suggests that for couples engaging in penetrative sex, the receiving partner should lean forward while the other partner enters from behind
Then comes getting into the perfect position. And there are ways to position yourself without slipping or ruining the mood, Battle told me Gosh.
For couples engaging in penetrative sex, Ms. Battle suggests that the partner on the receiving end should lean forward.
While bending over, that partner should brace themselves against the wall in front of them with their hands or arms.
The partner who penetrates must approach his partner from behind.
Ms Battle said that while you can choose to face each other, this would take more strength and balance.
For those inclined to try it, try leaning against a sturdy edge if you have one to keep your body stable.
Additionally, she suggests placing a non-slip mat on the shower floor so your feet don’t slip.
But even using these positions, shower sex can be tricky if you have a significant height difference.
If this is the case, Ms. Battle recommends taking time in the shower to explore other sexual activities, such as foreplay.
You can then dry off and move the rest to the bedroom.
If you need help getting into the mood, Ms. Battle suggests using all the senses that come with showering together.
This may include bathing together and helping to clean each other’s hard-to-reach areas.
And if you’re in the mood, opt for a silicone lube.
She said silicone-based lubes last longer than water-based lubes and don’t wash away in water.
However, they can still be easily removed with soap.
However, these should be avoided if you use silicone-based toys as they can damage them.
