‘Sex slave’ with metal collar SOLDERED to her neck tells cops she was held captive for a MONTH

A woman who was held as a sex slave with a metal collar soldered around her neck was held for nearly a month and was only able to escape after her abuser took his son to school, court documents show.

The unidentified 22-year-old recounted in excruciating detail how she was raped and beaten for nearly a month by 39-year-old Timothy Haslett Jr, right after he picked her up from Prospect Street in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, in early September. .

He then allegedly took the woman to his nearby home, where the woman says she was being held in a small room he built in his basement.

For nearly a month, the woman claimed, Haslett flogged and raped her multiple times while held with handcuffs around her wrists and ankles.

She said she couldn’t escape the horror house until Friday after Haslett drove his son to school.

The victim also told police that there may have been two other victims The Kansas City Staralthough that has yet to be confirmed.

It remains unclear how the woman escaped captivity and whether she knew her abuser beforehand.

Excelsior Springs police have declined to comment, as Haslett continues to be charged with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.

Haslett, who works as a contractor for construction company M&H Contractors, pleaded not guilty to the charges in Clark County Circuit Court on Tuesday when he was assigned a public defender.

He is now being held at the Clay County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.

The victim was able to point to the house in which she said she was being held captive while paramedics transported her to a local hospital on Friday.

Lisa Johnson, who lives nearby, first saw the emaciated, bruised woman on Friday as she struggled to climb her porch stairs.

“She didn’t have much of a voice,” Johnson said KSHB News. “It was more of a light ‘help me’ than anything.”

Johnson rushed to call the police because the imprisoned woman insisted he would kill [them] both” before fleeing to another neighbor’s house and getting help.

An elderly woman immediately opened the door for the victim after hearing her scream outside.

“She heard a woman screaming and knocking on the door, so she opened the door and the lady said, ‘You have to help me, I’ve been raped, I’ve been held captive,'” family member Ciara of the elderly woman Tharp told KSHB News.

“My grandmother saw she was weak,” Tharp explained. “She didn’t have many clothes on. She said she had a metal collar around her neck and could see the ligature marks around her wrists.”

Along with the collar, the victim appeared to have duct tape around her neck that had previously been wrapped around her mouth.

The elderly woman rushed to offer the victim a blanket and fed her.

“It’s possible my grandmother got her home just in time,” Tharp said.

By the time police arrived, court documents said they found the victim wearing latex lingerie and a metal collar around her neck soldered with a padlock. She also had duct tape around her neck.

She had injuries consistent with whipping and imprisonment, authorities note.

EMTs soon worked to remove the lock from the metal collar around the woman’s neck, police write in the court documents, noting it impeded her breathing.

The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital, pointing to the house she had escaped from en route.

Moments later, Excelsior Springs Police Chief Gregory Dull said: KMBChe had surrounded Haslett’s house.

They then arrested him at a traffic stop for an unrelated animal control violation, KMBC reports, before searching the house — where they said they found the room the victim described.

They also found a slew of firearms that Haslett owns in the house.

“We were able to prevent him from entering the house and destroying possible evidence,” Dull said.

Excelsior Springs Police Chief Gregory Dull told KMBC that moments later he surrounded Haslett’s house and prevented Haslett from entering the house to destroy evidence.

Authorities have not yet found evidence of other women being held in the Excelsior Springs home, but are continuing to search all evidence

On Tuesday, Excelsior Springs police told DailyMail.com that the initial search of Haslett’s home has been completed, but they are holding the spot in case they discover new evidence that will allow them to return home.

So far, Dull said, they haven’t found any evidence of other women being held in the house, but they’re going ahead with all the evidence.

“We want justice to be enforced, not only for the victim in this case, but also for this community,” Dull told KMBC. “We think they deserve that.”

Meanwhile, data obtained by DailyMail.com shows Haslett has a criminal record dating back to 2002, when he was charged with supplying alcohol to a minor.

He was last arrested for a traffic violation on January 11, 2022 and was previously arrested on December 30, 2021 for “careless and careless driving of a motor vehicle that was involved in an accident.”

Other previous arrests include drink driving in his home state of Illinois, driving a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.

He now has active arrest warrants for failure to appear in court from Clay and Cooper Counties and Liberty, Missouri.

Authorities are now investigating him for possible other crimes, saying he “poses a danger to a crime victim, the community or any other person.”
