High Court NZYQ decision: How many sex offenders, murderers and kidnappers have been released into the community by Anthony Albanese’s government

Documents just presented to the Senate at Senate Estimates in Canberra have revealed how many sex offenders, murderers and kidnappers have been released into the community by Anthony Albanese’s government.

Seven people have been convicted of murder or attempted murder in the shock releases from immigration detention, which followed a shock Supreme Court ruling.

The shocking figures also include 37 people convicted of sex crimes, including child sex crimes.

Another 72 were convicted of assault, violent crimes, kidnapping or armed robbery, and 16 were convicted of domestic violence or stalking.

There were also 13 people convicted of serious drug offenses and up to five people convicted of human trafficking or crimes of serious international concern.
