Severance finally returns to the office with a release date and a new trailer
Returning to work after being away for a while can be shocking, but we make an exception for Parting season 2, which will eventually return on January 17, 2025.
Of course, it won’t be that long for the characters we’ve been following: While Season 1’s painful cliffhanger saw Mark (Adam Scott) and his friends openly disobeying orders from Lumon Industries, the trailer finds them back at the office. Thanks to the help of redundancy technology that disconnects their workdays from their personal lives, their return to the desk may only be a blink of an eye since we last saw them, when we learned all this crazy shit about Mark’s wife and Hellie’s (Britt Lower) true identities.
That said, their world has certainly changed. In fact, the official Apple TV Plus synopsis states that the group will “learn the terrible consequences of toying with the divider, leading them further down a path of misery.”
Season 2 brings back the core cast (besides Scott and Lower, that means Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette), along with new series regular Sarah Bock. The second season will premiere with its first episode on January 17 on Apple TV Plus, with episodes airing one per week until the finale on March 21, 2025.
