Seven people were injured after a car fleeing the NYPD crashed into two buses in Brooklyn.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Avenue N and McDonald Avenue in the Midwood section of New York City.

According to a law enforcement source, the driver of the car was involved in a dispute over a firearm around 2 p.m. when he spotted a marked NYPD vehicle and fled.

The car then crashed into an MTA bus near the intersection, causing multiple injuries, none of which are likely to be fatal, the person told DailyMail.com.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Avenue N and McDonald Avenue in the Midwood section of New York City.

Images taken at the scene show the destruction caused by the collision, with debris strewn across the road.

The car appears to be a Fiat 500 and can be seen with a wheel that is completely bent.

The trunk of the car is also open at the scene, while one of the vehicle’s doors is also located across the intersection.

ABC7 reported that surveillance footage shows the car, which also appears to be speeding, driving off the two buses before coming to a stop.

The outlet also reported that the video shows a woman pushing a baby in a stroller as she crosses the road as the accident occurs.

Witness Ernesto Galindo told the newspaper: ‘She was in shock. She couldn’t even talk.

‘She was outside. She was shaking with the baby. It was crazy. Everyone was in shock after that happened.”

The fire brigade had to arrive on the scene to free the people trapped in the wreckage of the car.

ABC7 also said the seven victims were the two bus drivers, the driver and passenger of the vehicle and three passengers on board the buses.

The suspect is in custody and the investigation is still ongoing, the source said.
