Seven News presenter announces she is expecting her second child on live television after trying so hard to ‘keep quiet’ about her pregnancy
Weather forecaster Amelia Mulcahy has announced she is expecting her second child with husband Matt in October.
The Seven News Presenter revealed the news on live television Friday night after trying to “keep quiet” about their bundle of joy for “months.”
The next day, she posted a series of gorgeous photos to Instagram showing off her baby bump with her three-year-old daughter, Grace.
“A very excited big sister! Another ray of sunshine in October. Grateful to finally be able to share this news,” she captioned the reel.
Amelia shocked viewers and her colleagues Friday night when she first revealed her growing baby bump.

During her Ray of Sunshine segment, where she talks about happy community news in Adelaide, the reporter decided to share her own ‘sunny news’.
“We’re going to do it a little differently tonight. Now you usually saw me all over Adelaide most evenings, maybe to show you or do something,’ she began.
“Being out of the studio and out of the newsroom has made it a little easier to keep this a secret,” she added, turning to the side to expose her baby bump strategically hidden by her dress.

Co-anchors Rosanna Mangiarelli and Will Goodings appeared shaken by the news, with Rosanna audibly gasping and laughing with joy.
Amelia was all smiles as she told her viewers and colleagues that she’s expecting baby number two in October.
Speak with The Daily Telegraph on Friday, she said, “This pregnancy is something I’ve wanted for a while, so it was really nice to share the news with everyone.”
She went on to say that it was “difficult” to keep it a secret from her colleagues and followers with all the camera work she’s been doing lately.
