Seth Rollins has spoken out about the sex trafficking allegations made against former WWE CEO and co-founder Vince McMahon, claiming that “it’s a disgusting situation.”
In January, the 78-year-old resigned as executive chairman of TKO, the company set up by Endeavor following the $12 billion (£9.4 billion) merger between WWE and the UFC in September.
A former WWE employee, Janel Grant, had made allegations in January accusing McMahon of being involved in sex trafficking.
Rollins, who was a guest on CBS Sports Radio’s The Maggie and Perloff Showwas asked if McMahon’s departure would impact the company’s talent pool.
He replied: ‘For us that does not apply from day to day. As talent we are so far removed from that kind of thing. Like, it’s horrible, it’s terrible, I hate it, it’s a disgusting situation, but we’re so far away from it.

Vince McMahon resigned as executive chairman of UFC and WWE’s parent company TKO
“As we get to work, the question is, how can we make this show the best it can be?”
“That stuff, that’s personal stuff, that’s business stuff, and that’s so far beyond what we think, what our brains are looking forward to. I mean, we’re not going to do anything that affects that. It’s a terrible situation, we’re focused on what we do every day.”
McMahon’s resignation came at a time when he was scaling back his role within the company, with the former director briefly leaving the company in 2022 after the first allegations against him had surfaced in a report by the Wall Street Journal.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, the former director said he would “vigorously defend himself against” the allegations, which he called “baseless accusations.”
Rollins added, “It would be just like any other corporate structure, right?
“It’s horrible and you feel horrible and you wish you could have seen it or done something, this or that, but at the end of the day your job is your job and that’s what we do, we show up and we try to do it. give the people who pay for the tickets the best possible show we can. That’s kind of our department.’
The world heavyweight champion also shared his thoughts on the shocking news this week that The Rock would take Cody Rhodes’ spot at WrestleMania 40.
Fans were left furious after it was revealed that the eight-time WWE Champion would take Rhodes’ place to challenge Roman Reigns in April.
Rollins also gave his thoughts on Wrestlemania 40 plans after it became clear that The Rock would replace Cody Rhodes to challenge Roman Reigns.
WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made a stunning return to SmackDown on Friday and looks to challenge Reigns in April
The news came after the 51-year-old wrestling legend – turned Hollywood superstar – made a stunning return to SmackDown last week, with Rhodes appearing to step aside to allow The Rock to challenge WWE Universal Champion, Reigns .
Rhodes became the first man in 25 years to make back-to-back Royal Rumbles and could now challenge Rollins for the World Heavyweight title, despite making it clear he wants Reigns’ title.
Appears on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football show, Rollins stated that the organization does not need The Rock.
“If The Rock wants to jump on the bandwagon and ride my coattails to Wrestlemania, that’s fine with me,” he said.
“Look, I get it. WWE is as hot as it’s ever been. We’re selling out arenas and stadiums. Every place we go now is huge.
“We just closed two huge deals: SmackDown for USA Network and Raw. My show, which I’ve been working on for the last ten years, just signed the most lucrative television deal in the history of professional wrestling with Netflix, which is going to be a game changer starting next year.
But The Rock has received a lot of backlash from WWE fans following the announcement
It comes after Rhodes appeared to step aside from The Rock after being Reigns’ direct challenger
Rollins stated that WWE doesn’t need The Rock, saying, “We’d like to have you, but we don’t need you, big guy.”
Fans reacted enthusiastically to the decision to trade The Rock for Rhodes, with one writing: ‘This could be the biggest misstep in history’
“So we’re alive now. We’re huge and if The Rock wants to come on board right now, hop on my Wrestlemania and get his toes wet. I understand.
“So much respect for him and everything he’s done out here and everything he’s done for our industry. So I have no problem with The Rock going ahead and doing his business for us, man.”
He added: “Look at the numbers. Look who’s been on Monday Night Raw more than anyone else in the last decade. It’s me. I get the credit, not him. So he can come in and get what he wants.
“He can get his little piece, and then he can go back to Hollywood and do this thing, because we have this thing. We don’t need you. We like having you, but we don’t need you, big boy.”
