A former Sephora employee has broken her silence on the best drugstore hoaxes for best-selling high-end makeup products.

“I used to work at Sephora, so if I wear something at the drugstore, you know it’s got to be good,” she said in a new video.

“I’ve found a very specific selection of products at the drugstore that I think are just as good, if not better, than the products I love at Sephora.”

The beauty influencer then listed her favorite budget. products to create the perfect makeup base, including foundations, concealers, powders and cream bronzers.

Catherine also shared duplicates of viral products, like the Kosas concealer and Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Contour Wand.

While a high-end alternative might be Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter ($65), Catherine uses Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream ($23).

“This is my go-to for light makeup days,” she said. “It’s light to medium coverage, doesn’t damage my skin, and is absolutely flawless.”

But for the days when Catherine needs more coverage, she uses L’Oreal True Match Foundation ($34).

‘The formula and finish are very similar to Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk ($105), the only downside is that this little dropper situation is atrocious. But I love her, so I accept it.

While a high-end alternative might be Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter, Catherine uses Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream.

The TikTok star also found a cheap version of NARS Light Reflecting Foundation ($73).

“L’Oreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation ($37) is a perfect sucker,” she said. ‘Medium to full coverage, gorgeous satin finish, it’s just a no-fuss foundation. I take it whenever I know I want my skin to look really good and I want a little more coverage.’

For concealers, Catherine admitted that Kosas Concealer ($42) was her “holy grail,” but ELF’s 16-Hour Camo Concealer ($14) comes “very, very close.”

“It’s complete, complete coverage,” he revealed. “It doesn’t have as wet a finish as Kosas’, it settles more matte, but it’s beautiful.”

She added: ‘He stays all day. It doesn’t wrinkle me. I love her.’

Catherine also uses a special trick where, instead of a bronzing product, she buys a darker shade of concealer to replace her Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand ($57).

“The Revlon Colourstay Skin Awake ($26.95), and it’s actually a concealer, works very similar to the famous contour wand, they even have the same applicator,” she said. “I use it in shade 075 and it blends very easily and lasts all day.”

When it comes to powder, the former Sephora employee can’t live without the L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Powder Compact ($20).

‘I love this to set my face, it mattifies under the eyes really well.’

Maybelline Fit Me Powder ($15.99), in ‘Translucent’ is also very brightening. They last a long time, they’re great.
