She said she wanted to keep her own name for business reasons, but because her last name is actually her ex-husband’s last name and not her maiden name, she is ready to change it.
Mary added that since she and Romain, 29, are madly in love and plan to start a family soon, this is the perfect time for her to change her name.
Selling Sunset follows the life and drama of a group of real estate agents, including Mary, as they work for a brokerage company called the Oppenheim Group.
She said: “I’m going to freeze my eggs in case we want to start a family, but we’re too busy and focused on our careers to prioritize this right now.”
The couple got married on the show in 2019, but were actually legally married 19 months earlier.
However, Mary has insisted that the televised big day is still what she considers to be her actual wedding day.
During an interview with Page Six in early April, Mary opened up about her style choices in her daily life and at Selling Sunset.
“I actually decide what to wear based on where it is and what the clientele is,” the star explained, referring to choosing which outfits to wear on the Netflix show.
“If it’s in the Hollywood Hills, you can be more modern or more casual, but if you’re in Bel Air or if the clients are older, I try to be more conservative,” she explained.
When speaking to Us Weekly about how her personal fashion sense has evolved over the years, Mary expressed: “I think I’m trying to step it up a bit now.”
‘It’s fun to dress up. It’s fun to try new styles and branch out. I’ve done things with my hair that are different a couple of times. I play with new looks. And that’s a lot of fun for me.
Ups and downs: Mary and Romain first met in 2017, and more drama of their romance will undoubtedly air in season three, which has already been filmed.
