Selling Sunset in CHAOS after ‘diabolical’ Nicole Young accused Emma Hernan of having an affair with a married man – with cast members now threatening to QUIT
Selling Sunset was plagued by explosive behind-the-scenes drama just days before the release of season 8, after the cast learned that Nicole Young had been secretly spreading a rumor that Emma Hernan was having an affair with a married man.
The massive fallout unfolded over the weekend when agents were given screeners of the new episodes ahead of the Netflix series’ return on Friday. Chrishell Stause claimed her friend Emma, 33, was “blindsided” by the “disgusting” and “absolutely false” lie.
Shocked by the devastating scenes, Chrishell, 43, and Chelsea Lazkani, 30, publicly spoke out against Nicole, 38, accusing Done and Done Productions, the company behind Selling Sunset, of “spreading lies to attract viewers.”
In a series of explosive social media posts, Chrishell threatened to leave the hit show, vowed never to work with Nicole again, and criticized the production company for not giving Emma a chance to address the rumor.
She wrote: ‘Are we still giving airtime to LIARS who just want airtime?’

She then tagged Done and Done Productions and added, “You guys are disgusting for surprising her with this so she can show it to the world instead of at least giving her a chance to defend herself with the TRUTH.”
Chelsea also publicly criticized the “devilish” Nicole and the production company.
She said: ‘Good morning everyone except @nicoleyoung. You are the most devilish piece [wastebasket emoji] I once met.
“You want to spread a rumor about Emma because all the rumors about you are true. Okay, let’s see how this works out for you…
‘@done_and_done_productions where is your moral foundation and integrity?? Spreading lies to reach more people is so damaging.’
In another post, Chelsea tagged Nicole, Bre Tiesi and Mary Bonnet’s Instagram accounts, adding: ‘You lie, appease, steal your own while [wastebasket emoji] has landed some of you in lawsuits. I have kept my mouth shut up until now, but this is not okay.’

Nicole stuck to her guns and defended spreading the rumor “for the sanctity of all marriages.”
“As a married woman, I stand with strength and confidence in the sanctity of all marriages,” she began in a statement on her Instagram Stories.
‘Instead of attacking me and accusing me of lying, I think you ladies should ask your best friend some tough questions.
“Did she let you know that during the season 7 finale, she was confronted directly on camera by her wife’s best friend?
“Still, I presented this information as a rumor. And since you’ve both been victims of extramarital affairs, I would think you would also stand up for the sanctity of all marriages.”
While Emma has yet to publicly respond to Nicole’s claims, she did post photos of herself, Chrishell, and Chelsea on her grid, along with a love heart emoji.

Season eight of Selling Sunset debuts on Netflix on September 6 and will largely focus on the failure of Chelsea’s marriage to Jeff Lazkani.
Last month, a trailer showed Chelsea in tears after a newcomer told Bre she’d heard “something” about Jeff.
Despite her beef with Chelsea since joining the cast in season six, Bre admits she was dreading breaking the bad news to her “frenemy.”
“They say don’t shoot the messenger, but she’s definitely going to shoot me,” she said as she prepared to meet Chelsea at a restaurant.

Next, footage is shown of Chelsea becoming emotional during a confession.

Chelsea filed for divorce after seven years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
A few days later, her estranged husband accused her of being “physically aggressive.”
Jeff claimed the British-Nigerian real estate agent “aggressively punched him in the face,” breaking his glasses and leaving him with a small cut on his face.
He also claimed that to ensure the well-being of their two children, three-year-old daughter Melia and five-year-old son Maddox, they should not live in their five-bedroom Manhattan Beach home.
