Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause breaks down as she recalls ‘PTSD’ from watching house burn down after being evacuated amid LA wildfires

Chrishell Stause and her Australian husband G-Flip were forced to evacuate her $3.3 million Hollywood Hills mansion amid the deadly Los Angeles wildfires.

The Selling Sunset star provided an update following their evacuation, revealing that the catastrophic fires had brought back a long-forgotten trauma.

Chrishell shared a clip on Instagram on Thursday promoting her latest series The Traitors, which aired in the US that evening.

The promo switched gears when Chrishell talked about how she was coping after her evacuation, revealing that she, G-Flip, and loyal dog Gracie were all safe and sound.

“Hello from California,” Chrisshell began the clip.

‘It was two extremely long nights. I didn’t sleep, we were evacuated last night, but thank God they put out the fire quickly.

“If it had happened the night before, when the wind was blowing and they weren’t allowed to fly, it would have been a completely different story.”

Chrishell added that despite being made safe, she was still in a ‘red zone’, meaning she was not completely out of danger.

“I’m so grateful,” she said. “We are still in the red zone, which means we still have to leave at any time.”

She also took a moment to realize the tricky timing of promoting a television series in the middle of a major catastrophe.

“I thought it was strange to post that, but maybe you needed a reprieve, maybe you needed escapism. “I know we could use some money here in California,” she said.

“I’m just asking you to be kind. I have a job to do, I love doing the show.”

Chrishell also shared that her experience with the deadly LA wildfires had brought back a long-forgotten trauma.

“Last night reminded me of when I was 12 years old and saw my house burn and everything I owned, which wasn’t much at the time,” she said.

She added that the memory had caused “a bit” of PTSD, before wife G-Flip (left), real name Georgia Claire Flipo, helped her “get out of it.”

“A little bit of PTSD from that whole experience that I completely forgot about until last night when I was standing there in shock,” she said.

“Luckily I had a great partner who pulled me out of it and helped me stay focused.”

The post was met with an outpouring of well wishes from friends and followers.

“You are amazing sending all our love and healing to everyone in LA, from Aussie land to you G and Gracie,” wrote former MAFS star Bella Frizza.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Delores Catania also chimed in: “I’m here for you if you need anything. Pay attention to your safety.’

“Immediate evacuation in my area,” Chrishell wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories on Thursday.

“Me, G and Gracie are safe and out of the house,” she continued, ending the post with five broken heart emojis.

Earlier today, the reality TV star shared a map of the inferno raging through the surrounding neighborhoods and asked her 4 million social media followers to pray for her family.

“Thankfully my area is safe for now,” she wrote, before adding: “Impossible to sleep while your city is on fire.” Please pray for us.”
