This is the heartwarming moment a little boy asks Queen Camilla for a selfie during her walk through Shrewsbury, Shropshire, yesterday.

Video footage shows a young boy named Charlie asking Camilla for a selfie as she greeted well-wishers gathered in the city center.

Camilla was given a tour of the Shrewsbury Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, where she spoke to organizers and traders, discussing food, crafts, jewelery and craft stalls.

Charlie was standing in the crowd with his mother Aimee when she encouraged him to ask Camilla for a photo.

Aimee can be heard in the video saying, “Go on Charlie, go on Charlie.”

He then steps forward and politely asks the Queen: ‘Excuse me, Camilla, can I have a photo?’.

She smiles, obeys, and answers, “Okay.”

More than 2,000 people came out to catch a glimpse of the Queen during her first engagement with the public since Kate’s announcement that she was receiving treatment for cancer.

The Queen has become the highest-ranking royal to return to public duties since the monarchy’s twin cancer scares.

She became the leading royal figure following her husband King Charles III’s enlarged prostate and subsequent cancer diagnosis, carrying out a series of royal duties while Prince William supported his wife following surgery.

And she was out again today after Kate’s shocking news last Friday that she has undergone cancer treatment but is still hopeful.

Camilla was dressed in a brown leopard print blouse from Fiona Clare, a brown suede skirt and camel-colored quilted coat from Anna Valentine and two cheerful bumblebee brooches, one from herself and one from Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen met with market organizers Jenny and Stuart Jones before touring the historic event which has been held on The Square for almost two decades.

It has become one of the best markets in the area, with around 40 traders regularly setting up their stalls on the first Friday of the month.

She also visited the Old Market Hall where she signed the visitors’ book, which was also signed by Queen Elizabeth II in 1952, before meeting members of the local Bee Keepers’ Association.

From there, Camilla traveled to the newly restored Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, before meeting with local volunteer groups.

These include the Shrewsbury Food Hub, the Shrewsbury Interfaith forum, Save Our Shropshire and Shropshire Supports Refugees.

It comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed yesterday that Charles will make his most significant public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer while attending church on Easter Sunday.
