Selena Gomez poses in pink bra for W Magazine and reveals first boy she kissed was a fellow Disney star

Selena Gomez took a trip down memory lane when she recalled her very first kiss with a fellow Disney Channel star during a new interview with W magazine.

The newly engaged actress, 32, didn’t shy away from discussing her love life as she reflected on ‘probably’ having ‘too many crushes’ when she was younger.

‘Jesse McCartney – when Beautiful Soul came out – was life-changing for me. I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also just had more crushes in real life than I did with actors or musicians,” she said.

The Lose You to Love Me hitmaker, who recently accepted producer Benny Blanco’s proposal after more than a year of dating, went on to note that her “first kiss was on TV.”

“I was 11 or 12 years old and guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse. It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because we were both so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. “I had never done it before and I was so scared,” she told the outlet.

Gomez noted that she had her first “real” pass at age 14 with a “boy named Juan.”

In 2020, she joked that kissing Sprouse was “one of the worst days of” her life because she was in love with Dylan’s twin brother, Cole.

“I thought we were going to be together,” Gomez said on The Riverdale star’s The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Selena, who had not yet appeared in her own Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, played Gwen, a classmate who had to lock lips with one of the leads in the school play.

“I leaned in to kiss him, and I closed my eyes a little too early and I ended up missing about half of his lips,” she told Twist Magazine of the on-screen hug. “So it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world.”

During her interview for W Magazine, the performer also talked about what attracted her to the Spanish-language musical thriller Emilia Pérez, for which she has been nominated for a Golden Globe.

‘Pure curiosity. I love working with great filmmakers; that’s usually what I’m most attracted to. When I read the script, I found it extremely thought-provoking, visceral and groundbreaking. But some films may not turn out that way. “I really thought Audiard was so spectacular that the film was in good hands,” she enthused.

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum also said she was “extremely proud to speak Spanish” in the film.

“I was nervous, but I’ve released an entire album in Spanish before. I feel more comfortable singing in Spanish, so doing a whole movie was a little intimidating,” she admitted.

Gomez also confessed that he loved her character’s blonde hair.

‘I loved blonde, I actually really like blonde on myself. Many people don’t. The wig was incredible. It took about 80 hours to do it so that it would match my hairline and everything would be precise,” she said of her hair transformation.

As for whether the Grammy nominee has any pet peeves, she admitted that it bugs her when people “are late.”

“I don’t like how people treat other people when they treat me differently. I notice those things very quickly. Because I have lovely people in my life who have nothing to do with the industry, and I really pay attention to the way people treat my friends and people around me,” she added.

Gomez also said she relates to her astrological sign, Cancer, which she describes as “very sensitive” and people who “tend to love ‘others’ deeply, whether it’s healthy or not.”

“I tend to overthink it a little bit, but I love people very much and I care about people so much,” she explained.

‘The ring features an incredible center marquise-cut diamond, estimated at approximately 8 carats, set on a yellow gold pavé band.’

Taylor added: ‘The marquise cut, with its elongated and pointed shape, is a statement choice, known for its sparkle and the way it elongates the finger, creating a striking and elegant look.’

‘The pavé band, with its continuous row of smaller diamonds set close together, adds an extra layer of sparkle and luxury and beautifully complements the central marquise diamond.’

‘This setting maximizes the brilliance of the overall design, whilst maintaining a sense of sophistication.

‘The central diamond is likely to be of exceptional quality, with VVS1 clarity and colorless grading in the DF range. I estimate the ring to be worth well over £800,000 ($1 million), depending on the precise diamond specifications.”

The engagement also pays tribute to Selena’s 2015 hit titled Good For You, where she notably sings the lyrics, “I’m on my marquise Diamonds / I’m a Marquise Diamond / Could even make that Tiffany jealous.”

The couple’s romance was confirmed almost a year earlier in December last year, but the pair had already been dating for six months at the time.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Last month, Selena discussed her budding romance with Blanco.

‘This is the safest I’ve ever felt [a relationship]and I see a future with this person. And if you put a little bit into it, people won’t be so hungry to hunt you down.”

The singer then explained that there are aspects of their relationship that fans “don’t see,” as the couple mainly keeps their romance out of the public eye.
