Selena Gomez is slated to host two new Food Network series, including a show set in chefs’ kitchens

Selena Gomez will host two new shows commissioned by Food Network, Variety reported Wednesday.

The 30-year-old actress – who is Instagram’s most-followed woman – will star in a “party-focused series,” which will hit small screens over the 2023 holiday season.

Then, in 2024, Gomez will be in an as-yet-untitled show that will follow her as she heads to other chefs’ kitchens.

In the self-titled project, Gomez will “meet with some of the country’s top chefs in a quest to cook their most popular dishes when she visits their kitchens,” according to the outlet.

The former Disney star has already found success with HBO Max’s Selena + Chef series, which has run for four seasons so far.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s chairman and chief content officer of US Networks, Kathleen Finch, announced the upcoming shows in New York City on Wednesday.

Speaking to advertisers at the network’s Madison Square Garden presentation, she said, “The holidays are always huge for Food Network, reaching nearly 60 million P2+ viewers, and as Selena kicks off the nearly 100 hours of new and returning holiday programming, , that will surely make this upcoming season one to celebrate.’

Each of the new series starring Selena is produced by July Moon Productions and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a division of Sony Pictures Television for Food Network.

Selena, who just wrapped season three of her hit show Only Murders In The Building, has yet to comment on the new appearances.

It comes after Hailey Bieber was scammed online by Selena fans last month after the launch of her new cooking show.

The announcement came nearly three years after the singer debuted her culinary series, and critics were quick to draw comparisons.

Some upset followers called the 26-year-old supermodel’s latest project a “ripoff.”

“Hailey really needs to stop copying Selena and she needs to focus on herself,” one person tweeted, while another added, “She wants to be left alone but is constantly copying Selena.”

However, in a statement shared with The Hollywood reporter, Bieber exclaimed What’s in My Kitchen? a “natural spin-off” of her Who’s in My Bathroom series, with Kendall Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow and Emily Ratajkowski as guests.

The first of six episodes was released in April and showed her making her “signature chicken wing recipe” in the home she shares with husband Justin Bieber, Selena’s ex-boyfriend.

Other recipes include her home version of her $17 “Strawberry Glaze” Erewhon smoothie and pizza toast. The skincare guru teamed up with OBB Media to create the series, with HexClad sponsoring the project.

One Twitter user mockingly posted that “HBO MAX didn’t want her,” while others claimed Bieber was exuding “single white female” vibes with the show.

“This gurl is obsessed with Selena,” someone else insisted. “Now watch a remake of Selena + Chef Cook Show.”

“She’s then announcing a murder mystery comedy show starring Tim Allen and Jerry Seinfeld,” another joked, referring to Gomez’s Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.

Bieber isn’t the only celebrity to follow in Gomez’s culinary footsteps after she began filming her show during the pandemic.

In 2021, Brooklyn Beckham and Paris Hilton launched respective cooking shows, Cookin’ With Brooklyn and Cooking with Paris.

Fans have pitted Gomez and Bieber against each other for years, and the latest attack on the model came weeks after quashing rumors of their so-called feud.

In late March, Gomez took to Instagram to urge people to stop trolling and bullying Bieber, who had been receiving death threats.
