Selena Gomez is effortlessly chic in a black leather coat and mini skirt as she steps out in NYC… one day after her return to social media

Selena Gomez showed off her chic sense of style in a monochrome outfit as she stepped out with a group of friends in New York City on Thursday.

The Only Murders In The Building actress, 31 – who returned to Instagram a day earlier after a hiatus during the Israel-Gaza war – was spotted at Amsterdam Billiards for a fun night out in the Big Apple.

The star wore a black turtleneck tucked into the waist of her black skirt to stay warm during the cooler fall temperatures.

She added a pair of sheer black tights and also opted for black closed-toe pumps to complete her overall look for the evening.

The former Disney channel star paired the look with a long, black leather coat that she later wrapped tightly around herself as she walked along a busy sidewalk.

Her dark locks were pulled back into a messy bun, allowing a few stray strands to trail down the left side of her face.

Selena opted for minimal accessories to make the outfit the center of attention, adding a pair of silver mini earrings.

The Rare Beauty founder was spotted strolling down a Manhattan street as she made her way to the pool hall.

The star’s outing comes just one day after she returned to Instagram after previously announcing she would be taking a break from the app amid the Israel-Gaza war.

To celebrate the return, she hopped to her Instagram Stories while posing at a Texas-inspired restaurant called Moo’s Craft Barbeque, located in Los Angeles.

Gomez may have been filming her hit series Selena + Chef and posed as she leaned forward on a counter at the eatery.

Wearing a reddish colored ensemble with an apron on top, she was accompanied by owners, Michelle and Andrew Munoz. The trio paused for a memorable photo together as Selena held a large tray of food.

Not long after sharing the content to her Stories, the Single Soon hitmaker was spotted in New York on Wednesday to watch the Knicks vs Spurs game at Madison Square Garden.

Late last October, Selena revealed to her fans and followers that she was planning to take a break from social media, explaining that she was “sick” over “innocent people getting hurt.”

She wrote: ‘I have taken a break from social media because my heart is breaking seeing all the horror, hatred, violence and terror happening in the world.’

“People being tortured and murdered, or any form of hatred towards any group, is horrible. We must protect ALL people, especially children, and stop that violence for good. I’m sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or any hashtag.”

Gomez concluded, “I just can’t stand innocent people getting hurt. That’s what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But not a message. Love, Selena.”

The singer also uploaded a black and white photo of her younger sister, adding, “Having a sister has made me tragically sick every day. I would do anything for children and innocent lives.”

Earlier this year in February, the actress previously took a break from social media amid drama surrounding her ex Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber.

She said on TikTok at the time: “I’m very happy, I’m so blessed, I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn’t be happier.”

‘I am fine. I like the way I am. I don’t care, I’m big, I’m not, I don’t care. I love who I am. And yes, I’m going to take a break from social media for a while, because this is a bit stupid.’

She admitted: ‘And I’m 30, I’m too old for this… but I love you guys so much! And I’ll see you guys sooner or later, I’m…I’m going to take a break from everything.”

She told me too Vanity fair earlier this year on the topic of social media: “People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, whatever. But these people get detailed.”

“They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would cry constantly. I had constant anxiety. I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time,” Gomez revealed.

The actress explained that she found TikTok “less hostile,” adding, “There are wonderful things about social media: connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are and their stories.”

“But usually that gets filtered through (for me now). I created a system. Everything I do, I send to my assistant, who posts them. As for comments, my team will list a few things that are encouraging.”
