Selena Gomez and Jordan Peele are working on a series adaptation of Sean Lewis’ graphic novel Coyotes to release on Prime Video, according to movieupdates.net.
Coyotes, published by Image Comics and with illustrations by Caitlin Yarsky, is a suspense comic that combines elements of Kill Bill and The Last of Us.
The story is set in the City of Lost Girls, a desert frontier town plagued by the mysterious disappearance of women.
Frank Coffey, an officer on the case, is on a mission to solve the mystery behind the missing women.
During his investigation, he comes across Red, a young girl with a katana sword.

The series has Gomez and Sean Lewis as executive producers, with Peele’s involvement through his production company Monkeypaw.
At this point, there are no confirmed reports suggesting Gomez will appear in the series, but it’s worth noting that the show is still in its preliminary stages and the casting process hasn’t started yet.
Development on the series is ongoing, but is currently on hold due to the Writers’ Guild of America Strike.
Gomez will also appear in the upcoming season three of the highly regarded Hulu show Only Murders in the Building alongside newcomers Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd.
The project is currently in production and will premiere on August 8.

As a producer, Gomez is also currently working on a remake of the classic Oscar-nominated 1988 film Working Girl, which co-starred Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver and Joan Cusack. The blockbuster earned over $100 million at the box office.
Instagram’s most-followed woman is also working on a reboot of the 1984 romantic comedy, 16 Candles.
Peele, a well-known filmmaker, is currently working on multiple projects in addition to this collaboration with Selena.
He is also producing a remake of The People Under the Stairs and a supernatural movie titled Sinkhole.
