Selena Gomez has admitted to having cosmetic surgery for the first time as she defended her new relationship with music producer Benny Blanco.
Fans were concerned that Selena, 31, made the wrong decision as Benny upstaged her in 2020, but the singer remained adamant that he is “the best thing that ever happened to her.”
Selena confirmed in a response that she has been in a relationship with Benny, the boyfriend of ex Justin Bieber, for six months.
On Instagram, Selena clapped back at a user who made critical comments about her appearance.
One wrote: 'Remove your cheek fillers/implants. It messes with your brain,” to which Selena replied, “Hahahaha, I had Botox bb girl.”

The singer had never mentioned before what cosmetic procedures she had undergone.
She suffers from lupus, a chronic, lifelong autoimmune disease that can cause weight gain or weight loss.
The former Disney star responded to more comments, including one that referenced a small comment she made years ago.
One fan wrote: 'If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pics of your boyfriend lol – it should be special between you two. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you. @selenagomez.'
Selena had written almost the exact same thing years ago when Justin debuted his romance with Sofia Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie.
The couple was bombarded with abuse, including racist comments, in Sofia from 'Jelena' fans who want Selena and Justin together.
Apparently not understanding the reference, Selena replied, “Not mad. It's been 6 months BB. I will always defend my friends and fans until the day I die.”
