See the very cheeky way footy fans have immortalised the tree Paul Kent was thrown into during his alleged street fight

Footy fans have immortalized the tree that NRL commentator Paul Kent was thrown into during an alleged street fight on a Sydney street by turning it into a local landmark on Google Maps.

Footage went viral on social media on Sunday morning showing Kent and another man arguing outside the Three Weeds hotel in the western Sydney suburb of Rozelle before their altercation turned physical.

In the clip, Kent can be heard calling the other man a “dogface” before they reportedly get into a physical altercation that extends across the room.

The footage shows the commentator reportedly being thrown into a tree and landing with his head in the gutter before picking himself up from the ground.

Kent has been suspended from his roles at Fox Sports and the Daily Telegraph while his employers investigate the incident – and on Wednesday police charged him with affray.

The site has attracted a lot of attention from footy fans, with the broadleaf paperbark tree becoming the subject of many memes online.

Typing “Kenty’s Tree” into Google will bring up its status as a local landmark, and it already has 88 reviews with a 4.9-star rating.

The entry also shows Kent’s face superimposed on an image of the Ent Treebeard from the Lord of the Rings films.

‘The 8th wonder of the world. A must visit for anyone traveling to Sydney. Five stars,” one fan wrote.

“Be respectful and take off your watch before approaching the tree,” said another.

“Despite their appearance, the carrots are NOT soft,” a third posted.

‘If you’re looking to expand, look no further! I was transfixed when I saw it, my head felt like it was doing a 360 degree!’ another joked.

On Wednesday, Kent smiled for the camera as Ny Breaking Australia captured him returning home with his lawyer George Elias after being admitted to hospital for what Elias said were four or five broken ribs.

When asked how his back was, Kent replied “good” and declined to go into detail about what happened during the incident.

“It goes to court, then you get to see all that,” he said.

“It’s all good, I’ll just carry on, right? Getting on with life, going through what needs to be done.

“I’m disappointed, but that’s life, mate. Things happen, so get up and go again.”

Elias added, “He just needs to get his health in order.”

Asked about his injuries, Kent said: “A couple of ribs probably aren’t where they should be,” before laughing and adding: “You win ’em, you wear ’em, mate… that’s life, what does it matter? It’s finished. I can’t change it now.’
