Canberra Region Rugby League officials are investigating a nasty brawl during the Bungendore Kangaroos’ Division 1 women’s rugby league match against the West Belconnen Warriors in Kippax.

Footage of the incident, captured during the Katrina Fanning Shield livestream last weekend, has surfaced on social media.

The Warriors led 48-0 in round 14 when the Kangaroos were awarded a penalty in the 46th minute.

A brawl ensued involving players from both teams, eventually resulting in one player from each team being ejected and one player from the Kangaroos being ejected.

A few seconds later, another fight broke out on the sideline between a spectator and a Kangaroos player.

The two were soon separated, but a brawl soon broke out again, prompting other players to intervene.

The spectator involved in the first fight was seen again in the video fighting with a second player on the sidelines.
