A new video has captured the moment AFL star Josh Daicos showed his romantic side – and revelled in the September glory once again – as he proposed to his glamorous girlfriend Annalise Dalins in Greece.
Footage shows the moment the Collingwood Premier League player asks the most important question of his life, against a backdrop that is breathtaking.
News of the engagement was announced on Sunday and was greeted with joy by the Magpies and several Daicos teammates.
It will also go some way to making up for his team’s failure to reach the 2024 football final, having won the title just over 12 months ago.
His brother and fellow AFL star Nick Daicos posted ‘Hugeee’ in response to the announcement on Instagramwith magpie Captain Darcy Moore congratulated him with a ‘congratulations’.
Teammates Isaac Quaynor, Jack Crisp, Dan McStay, Oleg Markov and Tom Mitchell also sent their best wishes to the sporting couple.
Brooke Warne, daughter of the late Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, wrote: ‘Congratulations loved ones, so happy for you both.’
Daicos made his AFL debut in 2017 and has since become one of the competition’s best players. His future wife Dalins works as a model with leading agency Vivien’s.

“I had butterflies in my stomach. I was really nervous, but Josh made it easy because he was so outgoing,” she said.
‘We hit it off right away! Coffee dates quickly turned into dinner dates.’
Dalins told News Corp about their blossoming romance, adding: “It’s really nice that we’re both growing as individuals and our relationship is growing as well.
‘Over the past year, we have mainly recognized the small successes, because they lead to the big successes.’
