SEE IT: Beth Van Duyne checks out fit Rep. Rich McCormick’s backside in boldly flirtatious moment 11 MONTHS before relationship exposed
It’s not clear how long before Rep. Rich McCormick filed for divorce he began his relationship with Rep. Beth Van Duyne.
But flirty moments when the pair looked at each other during a press conference where she checked him out as he went to the microphone can be seen in a clip from almost a year ago.
A group of Republican Study Committee members announced their committee’s budget for the 2024 fiscal year to reporters on June 14, 2023.
Van Duyne, R-Texas, took the stage first, behind committee chairman Rep. Kevin Hern, R-Okla. She looked around the room before her eyes focused on McCormick, R-Ga.
His eyes widened and he smiled at her before they both looked forward.

At another point, Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., McCormick steps up to the microphone to speak, just before Van Duyne.
She watched him from above as he walked toward the crowd in front of her.
The pair revealed they were dating late last week after DailyMail.com first reported that McCormick had filed for divorce, and their colleagues spotted them holding hands just off the House floor and under the table at RSC lunches .
Footage from the March 7 State of the Union address shows McCormick caressing Van Duyne’s arm, and sources say this is common for the apparently loved-up couple.
They have been caught arriving and leaving events together late at night, and multiple eyewitnesses have spotted the pair holding hands just off the House floor.
McCormick, a year and a half into his first term in Congress, filed for divorce from his oncologist wife, Dr. Debra Miller, who had been married for twelve years. A restraining order was also filed, DailyMail.com reported Thursday.
McCormick and Miller, his second wife, share seven children and live in Suwanee, Georgia.

Miller has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. With her long, blonde locks, it’s hard to miss the similarities between her and Van Duyne.
“Rich clearly has a type,” said a source close to the congressman.
When contacted about the reason for the divorce, Miller texted DailyMail.com: “I’m sure he won’t come.”
“Ask Rich and his colleague,” Miller said when asked if there was an affair in the divorce.
Both Van Duyne and McCormick claim he has been separated from his wife for “quite some time.”

But he’s posted her a few times in the past year, and a photo of him and his wife holding hands is still used as a banner photo for his X account.
‘Congratulations Debra! More beautiful every year,” McCormick posted on May 27, 2023, weeks before the RSC press conference.
Miller was featured in a Father’s Day post on June 18 and a post-church photo on August 27, as well as a Christmas photo at a Toys for Tots event in December.
McCormick’s Facebook account says the couple married on August 16, 2011.
McCormick spent more than two decades as a pilot in both the Marine Corps and Navy and was also an emergency room physician at Gwinnett Medical Center in Georgia.
He is in his first term in Congress, having joined in January 2023. He ran unsuccessfully for Georgia’s 7th District in 2020 against Democrat Carolyn Bordeaux.
Van Duyne took office two years earlier in 2021. A single mother, she served as mayor of Irving, Texas from 2011 to 2017 and also served at the Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Trump administration.
Van Duyne told DailyMail.com on Friday that Rich and his wife are both “incredible people” and that his marriage has “been over for quite some time.”
“His marriage has been over for a while, if I understand correctly, he filed for divorce.”

‘I am single. We are both parents of adult children and empty nesters. We have a happy relationship and beyond that it is a personal matter.’
Shortly afterwards, McCormick confirmed his relationship with Van Duyne through a spokesperson.
One member also revealed that they witnessed Rich “grabbing her back” on the floor of the House of Representatives during votes.
Two more eyewitnesses say they saw him and Van Duyne holding hands, with one witnessing the pair leaving votes.
A third witness told DailyMail.com they saw the female colleague holding McCormick’s arm as she walked out of the Longworth Office building late at night.
Asked about the cozy behavior and separation, a spokesperson for McCormick told DailyMail.com: “Congressman McCormick and Dr. Miller have been divorced for some time. He has kept that private and will continue to keep his personal life out of the media spotlight.”
